    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide structure including an optical waveguide having a wide flexibility in pattern shape design, which can form a core part (optical path) having high dimensional accuracy by a simple method, and superior in durability. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide structure 1 includes: the optical waveguide 9 obtained by stacking clad layers 91, 92 on both surfaces of a core layer 93; conductor layers 51, 52 joined to both surfaces of the core layer, respectively; an optical path conversion part 96 bending the optical path of the optical waveguide 9 at substantially right angles; a light emitting element 10; and an electric element 12. The core layer 93 includes a core part 94 and a clad part 95 constituting the optical path for transmission light, the core part 94 is formed in a desired shape by selectively irradiating the core layer 93 with active radiation.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide in which adhesion between a core layer and a cladding layer is improved without spoiling optical transmission performances.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 1 comprises: a core layer 2 including a core part 21 and a cladding part 22 having a lower refractive index than the core part 21; two cladding layers 3 and 4 disposed to sandwich the core layer 2; and a thin film layer 5 with a thickness of 1 to 100 nm between the core layer 2 and at least one of the cladding layers 3 and 4. The thin film layer 5 is preferably made of a material having a higher refractive index than the core part 21. The thin film layer 5 may improve adhesion between the core layer 2 and the cladding layers 3 and 4 so as to prevent these layers from peeling off from one another.
