    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector in which a core reference is easily performed in both cases where the optical connecter is disconnected and where optical communication is underway without disconnecting the optical connecter. SOLUTION: The optical connection member (an optical connector and a connection adapter) detachably connects optical fibers used for optical signal transmission, and has a light guide out mechanism 26 through which a portion of visible light input into the optical fiber 21 is radiated out by providing a slit 27 on the optical fiber for leaking the visible light when the optical fiber 21a is mounted on a ferrule 22. It is preferable that the width of the slit 27 is 10 μm to 40 μm.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector, capable of easily performing optical fiber identification in each of a state where connection of the optical connector is released and an optical communication state without releasing connection of the optical connector. SOLUTION: The optical connector 20 to be connected to an end of an optical fiber used for optical signal transmission includes a fiber connection part 27 having a short optical fiber 21b connected to the inside thereof, and a light guide mechanism 26 for leading a part of visible light by the fiber connection part 27 to the outside as leak light. The fiber connection part 27 may be provided within a ferrule 22, and in this case, the ferrule 22 is desirably formed of a material scattering-transmitting the leak light.
