    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate obstruction of lateral stripes arising from polar inversion by a line inversion drive system by making the polarity of display data to be supplied to display elements differ at every adjacent dot at least in a part of the same line, at every line period, and at every field period (or at every frame period).
      SOLUTION: For example, an left upper end picture element is driven to sequentially repeat the inversion like +, -, +, - with a field period from the 1st field. And, a voltage waveform polarity of the picture elements adjacent to the one to which attention is paid is controlled so as to be inverted with respect to the latter. In each field, the voltage waveform polarity is inverted every line. Thus, by dot inversion drive, voltage of different polarities is impressed on adjacent picture elements in each line, and the polarities are averaged between the adjacent picture elements, and as a result, such a display averaged in the line becomes possible and the obstruction of lateral stripes is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a P polarized light component by reusing an S polarized light component divided in the case of obtaining linearly polarized light. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a reflection means 2 reflecting light outputted from a light source 1 and light made incident from a forward direction to the forward direction, and a polarizing means 3 having the plane of polarization 3a which is positioned in the forward direction of the means 2, and on which emitted light reflected by the means 2 is made incident at the angle of polarization, which transmits the P wave of the 1st polarized light component and reflects the S wave of the 2nd polarized light component, and the plane of polarization 3b on which the emitted light reflected by the means 2 is incident at the angle of polarization, which transmits the 1st polarized light component and reflects the 2nd polarized light component reflected by the plane 3a to the means 2. Furthermore, the 2nd polarized light component reflected by the plane 3a or 3b and made incident on the means 2 is made incident on the light source 1, then it is reflected by the means 2 again and made incident on the means 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deviation between channels of a driving device of an LCD for sampling plural bits simultaneously. SOLUTION: Video signals which are made parallel by S/H(sampling and holding) circuits 34 and 35 have inter-channel deviation of DC offset components corrected by output circuits 39 and 40. Namely, the output circuit 39 extracts the DC offset component from a signal S2 by a resistance 47 and a capacitor 48, a compactor 50 compares it with the output voltage of a reference voltage 49, and after an error signal is integrated by an integrator 51, an operational amplifier 54 corrects the DC offset component. Further, a comparator 41 detects an error of a signal S3 on the basis of the signal S2 as to an amplitude component and it is outputted to an integrator 43 in specific timing through a switch 42. The output of the integrator 43 is supplied to a multiplier 44, where it is multiplied by a correction pulse signal from a correction pulse generator 45 and then added to the output signal of the S/H circuit 35 by an adder 46.

    • PURPOSE:To constitute a projector projecting a video by a simple constitution on a screen by using a reflection type liquid crystal plate. CONSTITUTION:A first dichroic mirror 11 irradiates a first liquid crystal plate 13 with R light radiated by a light emission source 10 and its reflected light is reflected again to the side of a projecting shaft 19 by the first dischroic mirror 11. B light transmitted through the first dichroic mirror 11 is reflected by a second dichroic mirror 12, and it irradiates a second liquid crystal plate 14, and its reflected light is reflected again by the second dichroic mirro 12 and is reflected to the side of the projecting shaft 19. G light is directly made incident on a third liquid crystal plate 15 and its reflected light is set to be the projecting shaft 19. The influence of the wavelength sorting characteristic of a dichroic mirror is reduced by deciding the angle of respective optical elements so as to approach the incident angle and the outgoing angle against the normal line of respective dichroic mirror surfaces 11 and 12.
