    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled toner having excellent toner characteristics by regulating a compounding ratio of an surface active agent (A) and a dispersing agent (B) to a specific range in a suspension polymerization. CONSTITUTION:The compounding ratio of (A)/(B) is (20-100): 1,000, preferably (60-80): 1,000. The usable surface active agent is an anionic surface active agent e.g. sodium dodecyl-benzensulfonate and sodium pentadecylsulfate. The usable dispersing agent is preferably calcium phosphate. The above-described toner is prepared by emulsion-polymerizing a toner composition composed of a polymeric monomer, a charge conditioner, a polymerization initiator, a color ing agent and an other additive in the presence of water or an aqueous dispers ing medium mainly composed of water contg. the anionic surface active agent and the dispersing agent and by treating particles of the obtd. polymer powders with a dilute acid, thereby enabling the dispersing agent to soluble to water and removing the agent from the obtd. polymer powders by washing with water.
