      SOLUTION: A paper sheet handling apparatus comprises a discharge pool space 17 so disposed as to face the outlet 3b of the casing 3 and capable of storing paper sheets in the state of paper bundle 15A, a temporary storage space 27 separated from the discharge pool space 17 through a partition part 19 disposed at one end of the paper bundle 15A in the stacking direction, a conveying part 9 for conveying the paper sheets 15 one by one from the storage part to the temporary storage space 27, a pusher member 31 movable between the temporary storage space 27 and the discharge pool space 17, a first conveying means 21 mounted on the pusher member 31, and a second conveying means 25 so installed as to face the first conveying means. Two conveying means 21, 25 are so driven as to move the paper bundle 15A toward the outlet 3b while two conveying means 21, 25 hold the paper bundle 15A.
