    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a dialyzer in a hemodialysis apparatus and a hemodialysis apparatus, with which leakage from a filtration membrane in a dialyzer is detected while preventing the damage of a blood circuit or the filtration membrane.SOLUTION: The hemodialysis apparatus includes the dialyzer in which a dialysis fluid circuit for circulating a dialysis fluid and the blood circuit for circulating blood are connected to each other, and a pressure measuring unit for measuring the pressure in the dialysis fluid circuit. While the fluid is held in the dialysis fluid circuit and the blood circuit is opened to the atmosphere, the fluid in the dialysis fluid circuit is discharged to reduce the internal pressure of the dialysis fluid circuit to a negative pressure, and the pressure of the dialysis fluid circuit is measured by the pressure measuring unit. One chamber supplies the dialyzer with a fresh dialysate solution and recovers the used dialysate solution and, while the supply/discharge pump feeds the liquid from the variable volume chamber of the one chamber to the variable volume chamber of the other chamber, the internal pressure of the other chamber which increases thereby is released by the second on-off valve. The dialyzer can suppress an increase in an internal pressure of the liquid supply passage during dehydration.

A comparison means 5a compares, at predetermined intervals, the measurement value measured by the pressure measurement apparatus and a measurement value of the pressure of dialysis liquid measured by a liquid pressure measurement apparatus 42 installed within a liquid circuit 4 and cancels a measurement error by correcting the converted value acquired by converting the pressing force detected by the strain gauge.
