    • PURPOSE:To enhance the responsiveness of an automatic voltage regulator of an AC generator by charging or discharging an auxiliary capacitor at every half wave of the output voltage, and controlling the phase of a field current when the voltage during discharging reaches the set value. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary capacitor 26 is charged by the output of a variable resistor 22 in case of the negative half voltage of the output voltage V0 of a generator, and discharged through a variable resistor 42 at the positive half wave time. Since the charging voltage Va of the capacitor 26 is low at the starting time, the main capacitor 34 starts charging in the positive half cycle, the charging voltage immediately reaches the breakover voltage of a unidirectional switch 44 to fire a thyristor 16. Since the charging voltage Va becomes high at the normal operation time, a transistor 40 becomes ON. Thus, after the transistor 40 becomes OFF in the positive half cycle, the main capacitor 34 starts charging to control the firing phase of the thyristor 16.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently cut off a pipe even if hardness of its material changes without causing damage of a rotary tooth edge, by detecting the load of a cutting motor from its electric current so as to adjust the speed of a feed motor in accordance with a change of the load. CONSTITUTION:A motor, consisting of a series-wound commutator motor, and a reduction gear (both motor and gear not shown in the drawing) are housed in a base bed 10, rotating a chuck 14 to be driven. A cutter 20, die 22 and a burr remover 24 are mounted to a sliding bed 18. A rotary edge 26, which revolves on its own axis, and a series-wound commutator motor 28 driving this rotary edge are provided in the cutter 20. When a pipe is made of hard material, the rotary edge is controlled in a good revolution, simultaneously a feed of the pipe is also controlled at a low speed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency, by enabling a feed motor, for use of cutting off a pipe, to be used also for its threading work so as to enable the pipe to be both cut off and threaded by a single device. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 14 is rotated and driven by a motor consisting of a series-wound commutator motor. A rotary edge 26 revolving on its own axis and a cutting motor 28, which drives this rotary edge 26 at a high speed through gears, are provided in a cutter 20. The motor 28 is a series-wound commutator motor. When a pipe 34 is threaded after it is cut off, the pipe 34 is turned at a low speed and threaded by pressing a die 22 to an end part of the pipe and driving said feed motor not shown in the drawing.
