SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a blower, a supply opening of air being blown from the blower, a plurality of vertical blades being provided at the supply opening so that they can be rocked easily, and a swinging control means 35 that has a linking plate for simultaneously swinging the plurality of vertical blades and a motor 26 for driving the vertical blades and swings the plurality of vertical blades left and right. Additionally, the air condition comprises a position detection means 36 for detecting the swing angle of the vertical blades by detecting the rotary position of the motor 26 for driving the vertical blades of the swinging control means 35, and a rotational speed control means 37 for controlling the fan rotational speed of the blower based on the position detection means 36.
