    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the driving efficiency of a shield excavator at a branch confluent by using segments without using bolts or coupling metal fittings.
      SOLUTION: Cutting segments 12A and 12B are made of a material that can be cut by a shield excavator, and have connections dividing a branch confluent 1 of a main line tunnel 10 circumeferntially of the tunnel. At the connection, a projecting hinge is formed on one joint face and a recessed hinge is formed on another joint face to form a hinge joint T. The shield excavator is driven forward while the cutting segments 12A and 12B at the branch junction 1 are cut by the shield excavator, and, after the shield excavator is driven forward, the main line tunnel 10 and the branch line tunnel 20 are joined together into an integrated structure at the branch junction 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inflow speed and prevent clogging of a filter by providing a rectangular recess part on a water collection segment, laminating and fixing a filter on a lattice frame through a spacer, and penetrating and disposing a water collection hole on a recess part center part.
      SOLUTION: A concrete-made water collection segment 20 is annularly connected, before and behind parts thereof are connected to constitute the water intake adit of a diameter of 2.5-5.0 m so as to be embedded in an a quifer, and inflowing underground water is pumped through a lifting shaft by a pump. A rectangular recess part is formed on the surface of the water collection segment 20, a carbon fiber reinforced plastic-made lattice frame is mounted through a spacer, a filter mat is laminated to be fixed with bolts, and a water collection hole is made through and disposed in the recess part center part. Thereby the underground water penetrating the filter mat is flowed in the inside from the water collection hole through a gap under a lattice frame. Thus, the rigidity of the water collection segment 20 is secured to increase a rate of opening area, flow velocity is reduced and clogging of the filter mat can be prevented.
