    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant compressor capable of effectively cooling an oil isolated from a discharged refrigerant and suppressing an increase in a build of the compressor in the axial direction.SOLUTION: The compressor includes a cylinder head 104 disposed in a head side of a cylinder block 101 via a valve plate 103; and in the cylinder head, an intake chamber 119 is formed in a center side and a discharge chamber 120 is formed so as to surround the intake chamber. The cylinder head 104 is also provided with an oil storage chamber 132 for reserving the oil isolated from the discharged refrigerant by an oil isolation unit (isolation pipe 130 and the like). The oil storage chamber 132 is extended in a tubular shape integrally with the cylinder head 104 in the radial direction and has an open end on the outer surface of the cylinder head. The open end is sealed by a sealing member 134. The oil storage chamber 132 partially expands into the intake chamber 119.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize an oil recycling mechanism for returning lubricating oil isolated from a discharged refrigerant to an intake pressure region, and to improve productivity.SOLUTION: The oil recycling mechanism is configured to include: an oil isolation unit (isolation chamber 104b2 and isolation pipe 130) that isolates the oil from the discharged refrigerant; an oil storage chamber 132 storing the isolated oil; an oil return pathway communicating the oil storage chamber 132 and an intake chamber 119; and an orifice 136 with a filter disposed in the oil return pathway. The oil storage chamber 132 is extended in the radial direction of a compressor housing and has an open end on the outer surface of the housing. The open end is sealed by a sealing member 134. A partition wall (bulging part 132a) that partitions the oil storage chamber 132 from the intake chamber 119 is disposed in a region inside the aperture of the open end. The oil return pathway is formed in a linear shape in the partition wall, in which the orifice 136 with the filter is housed and positioned.
