    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which is improved in an electrode structure and improved in numerical aperture and transmissivity.
      SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises: a front substrate and a back substrate which are opposite to each other and each have a coupling groove formed along on the periphery of the opposing surface; a partition to compartment space between the front substrate and the back substrate into a plurality of discharge cells; coupling projections, to be coupled with the respective coupling grooves which are formed along on the peripheries of the opposing surfaces of the front substrate and the back substrate, which are formed on the opposing surfaces of the partition facing the peripheries of the front substrate and the back substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode which are formed so as to extend in a first direction and formed in the partition in a shape of surrounding the discharge cell and disposed with an interval in the direction perpendicular to the front substrate and the back substrate; an address electrode which is formed so as to extend in a second direction to cross the first electrode and the second electrode and formed in the partition in a shape of surrounding the discharge cell; and a fluorescent layer formed in the discharge cell.

      SOLUTION: This plasma display panel comprises first and second substrates arranged to face each other, a discharge sustaining electrode 22 and an address electrode 12 provided in the first and second substrates respectively, a partition wall 6 arranged in a space between the first and second substrates and forming a non-discharging area with discharge cells 8R, 8G, 8B, and a fluorescent layer formed in each discharge cell.
