SOLUTION: Many projection and recess portions 122b having a predetermined height are formed on the light exit surface 122a of a light guide plate 122 which converts and emits light from a lamp 112 as a linear source into a light form from an area light source over the whole area. The prism sheet 142 is directly brought into contact with the projection and recess portions 122b and polarizes the light emitted from the light guide plate 122. Accordingly, a light brightness distribution emitted from the light guide plate 122 is uniformly controlled without using a separate diffusing plate between the light guide plate 122 and the prism sheets 142. Adherence between the light guide plate 122 and the prism sheet 142 is prevented because the projection and recess portions 122b integrally formed with the light guide plate 122 directly come into contact with the prism sheet 142. Accordingly, the diffusing plate can be eliminated from the liquid crystal display module, thereby reducing the overall number of components, and thus minimizing the thickness of the liquid crystal display module. SOLUTION: One or more projections formed on a top chassis 100 of a liquid crystal display module 300 are bonded respectively to one or more stationary parts formed in an area corresponding to the one or more projections of a rear case 400. Further, a fixed projection formed on one side of a front case is inserted between the liquid crystal display module 300 and the rear case 400 to prevent the liquid crystal display module 300 from being moved. Thus, the bonding strength between the liquid crystal display module 300 and the case can be increased, and the number of components used to assemble the liquid crystal display module 300 and the case is reduced so as to enhance the productivity.
