    • PURPOSE:To fix an outer cable at a fixing position in design with the slack of an inner cable corrected by forming a thread section at the shift lever end section of the outer cable and tightening a static member by means of two nut members, which are threadedly fitted to the thread section mentioned above. CONSTITUTION:In fixing a cable, first of all, both ends of an inner cable 18 are connected to the lever member on a shift lever side and a lock plate on an ignition key side respectively, and the lock plate side end section of an outer cable 14 is fixed to the specified position. After a part of the thread section 24 between a nut member 26 and another nut member 25 is inserted into a slit 22A formed into a shape of a bracket 22, the nut member 25 is rotated to fix the thread section 24 to the bracket 22 collaborating in the other nut member 26. By this constitution, a position 6L at which the thread section 24 is fixed to the bracket 22 is positioned at the specified position in design determined beforehand so that the slack of the inner cable 18 may be corrected.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the sharp start or sharp acceleration of a vehicle by judging an abnormal state when the holding power value of a steering wheel is outside a prescribed value region and carrying out control so that the driving power an internal combustion engine reduces. CONSTITUTION:A control means 16 consists of an internal combustion engine control part 18 and an automatic transmission control part 20. In the internal combustion engine control part 18, the fuel injection valve 36 of the internal combustion engine, ignition coil 38, and an intake control solenoid valve 40 are controlled on the basis of the detection signals of a variety of sensors 22-34 for detecting the operation state of the internal combustion engine. In this case, the internal combustion engine control part 18 carries out control so that the driving power of the internal combustion engine reduces when the holding power value of a steering wheel which is detected by a holding power sensor 32 is outside a prescribed value region. In other words, since the holding power value of the steering wheel is outside the prescribed value region, an abnormal state is estimated, and the reckless travelling of the vehicle is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts by sensing variation of a potential between a conventional intake pressure sensing means and an indicating means in the form of an engine load signal and performing ignition timing control in accordance with said signal. CONSTITUTION:A control means 6 receives signals (l) to (m) relating to engine operating conditions, processes them and outputs an ignition timing control signal P. One terminal of secondary electric path 24 the other terminal of which is connected to said means 6 is connected to a wire 26 at a point A between a pressure switch 8 which senses a pressure of an intake manifold 4 and a turbo indicator lamp 16. Since the pressure switch 8 is kept off at a low load time, a potential at the point A is approximately the same as that of a battery 22. At a high load time, a supercharging pressure acts to turn the pressure switch 8 on so that the potential at the point A becomes an earth potential. Such variation in potential at the point A input to the control means 6 in the form of an engine load signal to control ignition timing in accordance with load. Since an extra engine load sensing means need not be mounted, the number of parts can be reduced.

SOLUTION: A vehicle-to-vehicle distance warning means 4 consists of a distance sensor 8, such as a laser radar, for detecting a vehicle-to-vehicle distance, a vehicle speed sensor 10 for detecting vehicle speed, a vehicle-to-vehicle distance warning control part 12 for inputting detected signals from the distance sensor 8 and the vehicle speed sensor 10 and outputting a warning signal into a warning means 14 if the above signals are within a prescribed warning range, and a warning means 14 for conducting warning for a buzzer, an indicator and the like through a warning signal from the vehicle-to- vehicle distance warning control part 12. An occupant protection means 6 involves an airbag system 18 coming into communication with the vehicle-to-vehicle distance warning control part 12, and a seat belt system 18 for coming into communication with the vehicle-to-vehicle distance warning control part 12. When a calculated signal is outputted from the vehicle-to-vehicle distance warning means 4 into the occupant protection means 6, the control action of the occupant protection means 6 is accelerated.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to two kinds of control with the use of only one control means without an additional input/output device being provided, by providing an input means for changing over the connection one of two means to be controlled into one of output sections of the control means, and by changing the mode of operation into a control mode for controlling the operation of one of means to be controlled which has been connected. CONSTITUTION:A movable contact 18 is changed over between a first stationary side contact 14 and a second stationary side contact 16 so that the connection of either one of first and second loads 4, 6 is changed over into one of output sections of a control means 2 in accordance with a signal which is delivered from an input means 12 to a drive coil 20 in a change-over relay 8. The control mode of the control means 2 is changed over so that either one of the first and second loads 4, 6, whose connection is changed over, is controlled in its operation in accordance with a signal delivered to an input section 22 in the input means 12. Accordingly, both first and second loads 4, 6 may be controlled by only one control means 2 without an additional input/output section being provided.
