摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a gas contg. CO2 at a low ratio and contg. H2S at a high concn. by passing the gas contg. H2S and CO2 at high concns. through an absorption column contg. an aq. soln. of sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate as a liquid absorbent. CONSTITUTION:The gas contg. H2S and CO2 at high concns is passed through the absorption column contg. the aq. soln. of 3-8wt.% sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate adjusted to 10-50 deg.C as the liquid absorbent for 2-12sec gas-air contact time, by which H2S is selectively absorbed in the above- mentioned liquid absorbent. The absorptivity of H2S does not increase so much and the increase ratio of the absorption capacity of CO2 increases when the concn. of the sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate exceeds 8wt.%. Such concn. is, therefore, undesirable. The absorption capacity of H2S decreases and a large volume of the liquid absorbent is required if the concn. is below 3wt.%. Such concn. is, therefore, undesirable. The absorptivity of CO2 increases sharply and the selective absorbency of H2S is poor if the liquid temp. exceeds 50 deg.C. The absorption of H2S is insufficient if the liquid temp. is below 10 deg.C. Such temp. are, therefore, undesirable.

摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently remove impurities by firstly bringing gas contg. high- concn. sulfur compd. incorporating water soluble impurities into contact with large amounts of water in a cooling part to cool it and simultaneously to absorb impurities and then bringing it into contact with a small amount of water in an absorption part to absorb the residual impurities. CONSTITUTION:Gas contg. water soluble impurities such as HCN and high-concn. sulfur compd. such as H2S is introduced into an absorption tower 1 and directly brought into contact with circulating water circulated with a circulating pump 4 in the gas cooling part of the lower step of the tower and with supply water after absorbing HCN in the absorption part thereof in the upper step and thereby cooled and simultaneously the greater part (50-80%) of HCN is absorbed and removed. At this time, the temp. of circulating water is adjusted at 20-30 deg.C with a heat exchanger 5. Then the gas is brought into contact with water of minimum flow rate in the absorption part of the upper step to absorb and remove the residual part of HCN and discharged.

The gas issueing from the upper part of the absorbing tower 1 is introduced into a Claus apparatus. Water being an adsorbent is withdrawn from the lower part of the absorbing tower 1 and recirculated water, of which the amount if the same to that of steam in the gas condensed in the absorbing tower 1, is withdrawn as blow water and cooled by a heat exchanger 5 before sprayed from a spray 3.

Then, the gas is scrubbed with hot water 7 at ca. 50-90 deg.C which is fed by a pump 9 through a circulating line 8, wherein the temp. of the ambient atmosphere is regulated to a temp. permitting the adjustment of the water content of the gas to 1-4mol. per 1mol. sulfur compd. in the gas. By this constitution, the water content of the sulfur compd.-contg. gas A is adjusted to 1-4mol. per 1mol. sylfur compd., i.e. a water content suited for reducing reaction, and harmful components such as halogen, NH3, SO3, etc., contained in the gas are removed simultaneously. Thus, the gas is supplied as adjusted gas B to a reducing reaction apparatus.
