    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing blanket, which is prevented from being swollen by organic solvent.
      SOLUTION: This printing blanket 10 is equipped with a support 14 including base cloth layers 18 each prepared by impregnating a base cloth 16 with rubber gum and a surface printing layer 12. A rubber composition for forming the surface printing layer or for forming the base cloth layer is employed by blending impalpable pre-vulcanized high or extra-high nitrile NBR powder with the contents of bond acrylonitrile of at least 36% with medium or medium-high nitrile NBR with the contents of bond acrylonitrile of at least 25% and below 36% under the condition that the volume percentage of the impalpable vulcanized high or extra-high nitrile NBR powder to the total volume of the rubber composition is set to be 20-70 vol%.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanket for offset printing which is excellent in any of paper detachability, durability, ink transferability, etc. and particularly suitable for high-speed printing.
      SOLUTION: The offset printing blanket 10 comprises a substrate layer 12 and a surface printing layer 11 laid on the substrate layer. The surface printing layer is formed of a vulcanized rubber composition containing a rubber material of 100 pts.wt., a zinc oxide of 7-20 pts.wt. and a plasticizer of 10-40 pts.wt., preferably 12-40 pts.wt. As for the plasticizer, an adipic acid ester is particularly preferable.

It is preferable that the substrate layer 2 comprises a compressive layer 5 and the surface printing layer 3 is formed through a base fabric (a) with a 2% modulus of at most 20 MPa.

SOLUTION: For a supporting body layer 12 of a blanket 10 for printing, a plurality of base fabrics 13 wherein a woven fabric or a non-woven fabric such as cotton, a polyester, or rayon, a rubber glue is soaked, are laminated by inserting a compressive layer 14 as required. Also, between a surface printing layer 11 and the compressive layer 14, a base fabric 13 may be provided as a reinforcing layer. Then, for the rubber which constitutes the surface printing layer 11, rubber which is excellent in oil resistance and ink transfer property such as NBR, chloroprene rubber, is used, and on the surface, protruding parts 15 comprising a rubber grain which has a high elasticity and is excellent in ink transfer property, are formed, and the height of the unevenness is made 8-15 μm, and the proturding parts deform when a paper for printing is pressed, and thus, a pushing back force strongly works, and a favorable paper discharging property is displayed.

SOLUTION: The offset blanket 1 for printing a curved surface comprises a surface rubber 2 and pressure-sensitive adhesive 22. A truncated conical container applied by this invention has 20mm or less of a difference between a maximum outer diameter part and minimum outer diameter part of a region where the blanket is brought into contact with the container. A line width A of a pattern printed on a printing central part, a line width B1 of a pattern printed on a maximum outer periphery and a line width B2 of a pattern printed on a minimum outer periphery are measured, its ratio B1 /A and B2 /A are obtained, and they are used as an index of line width change. When surface hardness (JIS A) of the rubber is set to a range of 30 to 65 and surface roughness (Rz) is set to a range of 3 to 7μm, a value of the index of line width change can be fallen within a range of 1.0 to 1.2.

Preferably, total thickness of both compressive layers 12, 13 occupies 10-50% of the overall thickness of the printing blanket 1 and the thickness of the compressive layer 13 having independent porous structure occupies 30-80% of the total thickness of both compressive layers 12, 13.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanket for printing which reduces the accumulation of ink on a surface printed layer and prevents print flaw such as the edge blur of a printed pattern by making the part which does not come into contact with an object to be printed thinner in thickness than the part which comes into contact with the object to be printed. SOLUTION: A blanket 30 for printing is formed by making the part 6 which does not come into contact with an object to be printed thinner in thickness than that of the part 5 which comes into contact with the object to be printed. Consequently, it is possible to divert ink emulsified in wetting water in the part 5 which comes into contact with the object to be printed at the time of printing to the part of smaller thickness. Specifically, the blanket 30 for printing has the part 6 which does not come into contact with the object to be printed, formed to have a thickness t1 smaller than the thickness t2 of the part 5 which comes into contact with the object. In order to reduce the thickness t1 of the part 6 which does not come into contact with the object, a means ca be used which reduces the thickness of the end part of the blanket 30 by adjusting the width of each of the layers of the blanket 30 at the time of its manufacture.
