    • PURPOSE:To enhance processing accuracy in each vane by forming the core section of a wane section, which is in contact with a shaft section, out of a quench solidified Al-Si alloy, and forming the rest of the vane section out of an Al-Si alloy formed by a solution casting method in the rotor for a super charger, which is composed of the vane section made of an Al alloy, and of the shaft section made of steel. CONSTITUTION:In the rotor 1 for a super charger, which is composed of a wane section 3 made of an Al alloy, and of a shaft section 2 made of steel, the core section 4 of the wane section 3, which is in contact with the shaft section 2, is formed out of an alloy in a quench solidified Al-Si series, and the rest of the wane section 3 excluding the core section 4 is formed out of an Al-Si alloy which is formed by a solution casting method, and is excellent in cutting property. In this case, the core section 4 is preferably formed out of an Al alloy which is composed of constituents including 15 to 19% Si, 4 to 8% Fe, 3 to 6% Cu and 0.2 to 2% Mg, (Si+Fe) the total content of which is 20 to 26%, remaining Al, and of inevitable impurities, and the rest is formed out of an Al alloy which is composed of constituents each content of which is less than 11 to 14% Si, 0.5 to 1.3% Cu, 0.8 to 1.3% Mg, 0.5 to 1.3% Ni and 1% Fe, remaining Al, and of inevitable impurities.
