    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer clad stock capable of uniformly being heated in both a core and a skin even by the induction heating, and capable of excellently preventing generation of swelling during the extrusion. SOLUTION: An extruded billet 1 is provided with a core 3 having a cylindrical large diameter part 3a and a cylindrical small diameter part 3b. A plate of the thickness equal to the difference in radius of the large diameter part 3a and the small diameter part 3b is bent along the outer circumference of the small diameter part 3b to constitute a skin 5. The MIG welding is executed to each end of the skin 5 (a weld zone 6), and the metal to constitute the skin 5 is melted into the metal to constitute the core 3 to melt both metals to each other. No definite interface between the core 3 and the skin is present in the weld zone 6. When the induction heating is executed, not only the magnetic flux passing through the skin 5 and the magnetic flux passing through the core 3 is formed to uniformly heat the core 3 and the skin 5. Because the skin 5 is cooled and shrunk after the welding and the clearance between the skin and the core 3 becomes small, generation of the swelling can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To produce cylindrical compact without any traverse crack by closing both ends of rubber cylindrical body, in which powdery raw material is packed, by covering bodies preventing mutual approach of the covering by an outer cylindrical member and working hydraulic pressure to the rubber cylindrical body through liquid passing-through holes arranged in the outer cylindrical member. CONSTITUTION:The Al (alloy) powdery raw material 4 or compacting is packed in the rubber cylindrical body 6 and both end opening parts of the cylindrical body 6 are closed water-tightly by the rigid covering bodies 8, 10. Outer flanges 8a, 10a are integrately formed on the covering bodies 8, 10 and the outer cylindrical member 14 is inserted between the outer flanges to prevent shrinkage of the cylindrical body 6 toward axial direction. The outer cylindrical member 14 is constituted by half dividing bodies 14a, 14b and suitable number of the liquid passing-through holes are arranged at each body 14a. 14b. High pressure liquid is invaded through these liquid passing-through holes, and the prescribed pressurizing force is worked to the outer circumferential face of the cylindrical body 4 to compress the law material 4 toward diameter detection at the prescribed compressing force. Then, the mutual approach of the covering bodies 8, 10 are prevented by the outer cylindrical member 14 and displacement of the. rubber cylindrical body 6 toward axial direction is prevented. By this method, the traverse crack in the powder compact is prevented, and treatment of the compact is facilitated.
