摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the development of an edge extension and a center buckling of a steel strip by arranging heating means in an air cooling zone in a vertical continuous annealing furnace, detecting a steel strip temp. at the outlet side of a heating means and controlling the heating temp. CONSTITUTION:In the vertical continuous annealing furnace 1, a heating means 10 is added to the inner part of the air cooling zone 5. A first steel strip temp. detecting means 11 is arranged at the lower part of this heating means 10, i.e., the outlet side of the air cooling zone 5. Further, if necessary, a second steel strip temp. detecting means 12 is added to the upper part of the heating means 10. These means 10, 11, 12 are electrically connected with a heating control means 13. The heating means 10 is controlled based on the signals of the steel strip temp. detecting means 11, 12 to suitably heat the steel strip W to the temp., at which the development of the buckling is free from care. By this method, low speed strip passing can stably be executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent one side extension in an edge parts of a steel strip with a comparatively simple constitution by controlling a heating means based on the temp. signal of a temp. distribution detecting means in the width direction of the steel strip at the front and the rear parts of the heating means for enabling the control of the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip. CONSTITUTION:The heating means 10 for enabling the control of the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip W is added in a cooling zone 5 and controlled with a control means 11. The first and the second steel strip temp. distribution measuring means 21, 22 are arranged at the front part and the rear part of the heating means 10, respectively, and the heating means 10 is controlled based on the temp. signals measured with these positions. The steel strip W is charged upward to a preheating zone 2 and turned over at a top roll 15 and charged downward to a heating zone 3 and heated and uniformized to the temp. distribution in a soaking zone 4, and after naturally cooling in an air-cooling zone 5, the steel strip is made in the horizontal state with a bend floated device 6 and sufficiently cooled in a cooling zone 7. By this method, the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip can be uniformized. A heating device 13 having the same function as the means 10 may be arranged in the bend floated device 6.

摘要： PURPOSE:To execute high-speed rolling and to enable rolling a high-gloss steel sheet excellent in surface properties without the generation of oil pit, transfer of roll skin, seizing flaw, slip flaw, etc., by specifying the surface roughness of a work roll for cold rolling. CONSTITUTION:The surface roughness of roll satisfies a formula I and Ratheta is taken as 0.1-0.5mum. The roughness of ground stripe of the roll 10 which is transferred to the steel sheet 14 when rolling is the component of Ral and transfer is reduced by making this smaller. But, in this case, also Ratheta is similarily made smaller, oil pit is generated ands slip is liable to be generated. However, when Ratheta exceeds 0.5mum, the generation of worn powder is increased and inferior gloss and seizing flaw are generated. Though it is necessary to always make Ratheta larger than Ral for preventing the generation of oil pit and slip, when it exceeds quadruple, the coefficient of friction is raised and seizing flaw and the amount of wear are increased.

SOLUTION: A rotary cutting tool 2 is composed of a shank 4 whose cutting edge 3 is attached to the outer surface an arbor 10 via a bearing 11. The rotary cutting tool 2 is fixed in a specified position to be a crown with its both ends supported on a bearing 20 so as to be rotated. The shank 4 is rotated by a rotation driving device 7 during cutting and the shank 4 is pressed to the surface of a material 1 to be cut by a carrying roll 6 against this rotary cutting tool 2 while rotating the shank 4 with the arbor 10 for carrying the loaded material 1 to be cut as a shaft and thereby a surface layer defect is eliminated by the cutting edge 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a roll used for improved surface gloss of a metal sheet, a grinding method therefor and a rolling method using the roll. CONSTITUTION:A roll has grind mark skewed to the peripheral direction of a roll 1, further, the skew direction is symmetrical about a boundary of roll center part. The roll is produced by the grinding method that the rotating axis of a rotating disc grinding stone is shifted at right angle to a roll axis 2, while a part of the periphery of grinding face of grinding stone is brought into contact with roll surface and traversed relatively in the axial direction, the roll is rotated, the skew angle theta (>=20 deg.) is adjusted to satisfy the prescribed condition. The angle theta is calculated from a rotating speed of grinding stone, radius of grinding stone, offset of grinding stone, relative traversing speed in roll axis direction and rotating speed of roll. This roll is used for cold rolling as a large diameter work roll to produce a metal sheet. By this method, a metal sheet of high gloss is efficiently produced without deviation and torsion of rolled stock.
