    • PURPOSE:To improve the strength of the part to be joined by executing the arc welding to the part to be joined after an insert metal of the amorphous metal whose melting point is lower than that of the members to be joined is inserted between the surfaces to be joined and the liquid phase diffusion joining is executed. After joining the arc welding is executed to the part to be joined. The misalignment A of the part to be joined is removed and the fatigue strength is improved thereby. The heat affected zone 6 by the arc welding is generated in the vicinity of the weld metal 5, and the heat affected zone 4 which is formed by the liquid phase diffusion joining and whose toughness is low recovers its original higher toughness due to the temper effect.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the sealing of the end of a heat pipe efficiently and surely with the small number of parts by a method wherein the end of the pipe is crushed to come into contact with it with a specified insert member closely and, thereafter, the end of the pipe is heated to melt only the insert member. CONSTITUTION:An insert member 8, containing one or two kinds or more of 20 weight % or less of Cr, 15% or less of P, 8% or less of Si and 5% or less of B, having balance consisting of Ni substantially, having a melting point lower than 1100 deg.C and provided with the thickness of 50-150m, is inserted into the end of a tube material 2 for a heat pipe. Subsequently, the end of the pipe is crushed to come into contact with it with the insert member 8 closely and, thereafter, the end of the pipe is heated to melt only the insert member 8. Pressing of the pipe end to contact the pipe end with the insert member 8 closely and sufficiently is effected by a necessary crushing force obtained properly based on the thickness, material and the like of the pipe material. According to this method, the sealing of the pipe end may be effected simply and surely with a low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To easily and surely join bar materials by inserting insert material between the joining surfaces thereof, loading initial load in the axial direction of the bar materials with respect to the joining surfaces to give strain to the insert material and pressing these materials under heating at the time of joining the bar materials. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing bars which are materials 4 to be joined are set on clamp mechanisms 3 and amorphous metallic material is inserted between the joining surfaces as the insert material 5 and the reinforcing bars are fixed by tightening a fixing bolt 8. A head 2 is moved by a hydraulic jack 6 so that the prescribed load is applied in the axial direction of the reinforcing bars and the initial load is loaded. The size of load is measured and controlled by a load cell 11. The vicinity of a joining part is heated to the prescribed temperature by intense reducing flame gas by using a ring burner 72 and the materials to be joined are pressed plural times. After heating is finished, the burner is kept away. When a high-frequency heating coil is used as a heating method, nonoxidizing gas is blown in a seal box to carry out heating. By this method, joining conditions are controlled and the bar materials are joined easily and surely.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a joining strength and work efficiency by abutting two pipes to be joined by pinching an inserting material, by pinching them respectively with a pair of combined clamp mechanism and by joining with diffusion by heating the vicinity of the pipe joining part. CONSTITUTION:A pipe A, B is respectively pinched by a pair of clamp mechanism a, b which is combined via a linking body 1 by abutting the pipe end in the state of pinching an inserting material 3 between two pieces of pipes A, B to be joined. The vicinity of the pipe joining part 5 is then heated by the heating device 4 composed of a high frequency coil, etc. In this case, an amorphous metallic foil, etc. are used for the inserting material 3 and the joining part 5 is shielded via a shielding cover 19 and taken to be in vacuum state or protecting gas atmosphere. The heating device is miniaturized, the work on-site is facilitated and the joining part 5 is subjected to diffused junction. Consequently the joining strength and work efficiency can be increased.
