    • PURPOSE: To provide a method for controlling the height of a lance in a converter, by which slopping and spitting are restrained and also, the decarburizing oxygen efficiency and the heat supplying ratio are kept to in a good condition. CONSTITUTION: A basic pattern K(i) of L/L0 and an oxygen flow rate pattern F02 (i) are selected from the operational condition related to blowing, and based on the operational actual result in the previous heat, whether the corrections of the L/L0 pattern and a lance height pattern are to be executed or not, is judged. At the time of judging to execute the correction, the necessary block K(i) is corrected and the height of the lance 3 are corrected. Then, a control pattern LL(i) of the lance 3 height is calculated based on the obtd. value of the molten metal surface height LB, nozzle specification of the lance 3 contained in the operational condition and the corrected K(i) an oxygen flow rate pattern F02 (i). Further, whether the calculated control pattern LL(i) is to correct or not, is judged based on the operational actual result in the converter, and in the case of needing the correction, the control pattern LL(i) is corrected as the same way as the above based on the operational actual result.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a picture quality by arbitrarily extracting two common points on two pictures being joining objects, joining the both pictures using straight lines linking the two points on the respective pictures as joining lines, obtaining means bright and dark distribution on the respective pictures being the joining objects, and correcting the gradation of the respective pictures. CONSTITUTION:Picture information obtained by a television camera or an electronic microscope is converted into digital data, the two common points on two pictures IMA and IMB photographed by overlapping to each other are extracted, the two pictures IMA and IMB are joined by using the straight lines linking the two points as joining lines LC, the mean bright and dark distribution of the respective pictures IMA and IMB is obtained, and the gradation is corrected. Consequently the pictures IMA and IMB being the processing objects as the digital picture information can be clipped and stuck on a display screen, and by correcting the gradation of the respective pictures IMA and IMB, the density difference of the respective pictures IMA and IMB is eliminated. Thus the gradation, sharpness, picture distortion, brightness and darkness can be improved, and the picture quality is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable rapid and exact measurement by subjecting standard pH liquids to a heat exchange with a liquid to be measured and calibrating a pH meter with the standard pH liquids which are kept at the same liquid temp. as the temp. of the liquid to be measured, then measuring the pH value of the liquid to be measured at the present liquid temp. CONSTITUTION:The plating liquid in a plating cell 2 for continuous plating of a steel sheet 1 is supplied from a plating liquid tank 3. The standard liquids X1-Xn such as phthalate soln. (4pH), neutral phosphate soln. (7pH) and borate soln. (9pH) are housed in respective standard pH liquid tanks liquids X1-Xn. The calibration of the pH meter is executed at every prescribed time. The liquid temps. of the respective liquids X1-Xn at the time of the measurement are measured by a thermometer contg. a pH meter, etc., and the pH of the standard liquids is exactly determined. The pH of the liquid to be measured and the potential difference E of the pH meter 6 are calibrated by using the pH values pH1-pHn of the respective liquids X1-Xn determined in such a manner and the measured inter-electrode potential differences E1-En, by which zero adjustment, etc., are completed. All valves V0, V1-Vn are closed and valves Va, Va are controlled, upon completion of the calibration, by which a part of the flow rate of the plating liquid flowing in a pipe 3a is injected into a measuring tank 5 and the temp., etc., of the plating liquid are measured.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the process of photographing, edition and image output by executing the automatic edition of an inputted image based upon previously set up format information or the like to form assembling information and printing out the information on printing paper by a photoprinter. CONSTITUTION:Image input parts 41 to 47 receive a schedule list and photographing command information from a master CPU 2 and change an automatic edition command. The input parts 41 to 47 pick up and input images, execute the automatic density correction of the photographed images and transmit the images and their completion information to the CPU 2 through an optical loop network 5. At the time of receiving the information, the CPU 2 stores the received information in an optical disk device 6, updates schedule table completion information and automatic edition information and starts the succeeding processing. At the time of completing the photographing of images in the same format, image assembling information is formed by automatic edition to form an edition image. The assembled edition image is DMA- transferred to the photoprinter 8 through a personal computer 7, printed out on printing paper by the printer and automatically carried to a developing machine 9 to develop the image.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality and yield of a steel by measuring the microwave radiated from the steel tapping from a refining furnace and detecting the presence or absence of the slag outflow in accordance with the deviation between the detected microwave and a reference level. CONSTITUTION:The microwave of 1m-1mm. wavelength radiated from the molten steel flowing from a converter into a receiving pan 2 is received with an antenna 3. The deviation between the microwave signal of the antenna 3 and the reference signal from a reference oscillation source 5 is determined. The presence of absence of slag outflow is detected in accordance with the deviation. The outflow of the slag is exactly detected by the above-mentioned method without being influenced by soot, dust, etc. around the tapping part, thereby the quality and yield of the steel are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To more accurately control molten steel temp. by more accurately predicting the temp. dropping amt. of the molten steel in the steelmaking process and reflecting the predicted value of the molten steel temp. on the blowing control in a steelmaking furnace. CONSTITUTION:Each amt. of the temp. drop of the molten steel caused by operational variable factors is obtd. on the basis of the actual data in the past heats. The temp. drop amt. DELTAT of the molten steel from the time t2 of completing the treatment in the steel-making furnace to the time t3 of starting the casting is predicted from the temp. drop amt. of the molten steel caused by operational variable factors. The temp. Ta at the time t2 of completing the steelmaking furnace treatment is obtd. from this temp. drop amt. DELTAT and the temp. Tb at the time of starting the casting to decide the time t1 of starting the steelmaking furnace treatment, and this temp. Ta at the time of completing the steelmaking furnace treatment is used as the aimed temp. to execute the automatic blowing control of the steelmaking furnace. By this method, the temp. drop amt. of the molten steel can accurately be predicted and the automatic blowing control is executed with good accuracy, and the variance of the molten steel for each heat can be eliminated.
