    • PURPOSE:To provide titled unit for preventing the refractory material from damage due to scattering of molten iron and slag, by making such a structure as to put molten iron only into the gasifying agent jet-impinging section on molten iron surface and another section necessary for slag discharge and to be winder free space than that for putting said molten iron. CONSTITUTION:A molten iron is charged, through inlet 7, nearly to the level of slag-discharge outlet 10 in furnace 1 followed by blowing pulverized coal, O2 and water vapor through non-immersion porous lances 4a-4c to the molten iron bath; concurrently, submaterial(s) such as slag-adjusting agent being added through inlet 6. The high-temperature gas thus generated in the furnace heats slag 13 during passing through slag-molten iron separating unit 8. During the gasification process, the slag and molten iron violently scatter in all directions, however, hardly reaching furnace wall 2 as the free space is sufficiently wide, thus damaging the refractory material slightly. Along with the gasification process, the outlet 10 is opened, the slag being automatically discharged out of the furnace.

    • PURPOSE:The titled device that is equpped with temperature controllers for coal and gasifying agent, feed controller for coal, and setting controller for the flow rate of the gasifying agnet, thus improving the transportation of coal and the gasifying agent, automatizing the control of feed rate of the gasifying agent and increasing the efficiency of gasification reactions. CONSTITUTION:Heaters 10 and 17 provided in coal stock hopper 5 and pipe for feeding coal and gasifying agent 15 are controlled by power controller for heaters 24 on the basis of the temperature distributions in the hopper 5, the pipe 15 and blowing lance 15-1. The hopper feed rate of coal is controlled by coal feed controller 29 based on the detected value of coal feed rate from the hopper. The set value of coal feed, temperatures and flow rates of coal and gasifying agent, temperature in gasification furnace 1 and temperature and flow rate of the formed gas are detected and the appropriate value for feeding gasifying agent is calculated in arithmetic units 33, 39, and 45 on the basis of the above data. According to the calculated values, the flow rate of gasifying agent is controlled by valves in the gasifying agent feed controllers 34, 40 and 46.

    • PURPOSE:To perform long-time continuous operation with improved efficiency of gasification thus insuring consistent supply of gas, by employing an iron bath gasification oven which produces molten iron as a medium for heat necessary for the gasification reaction and discharges slag continuously without the need of tilting the oven. CONSTITUTION:Coal, coke, etc. are blown together with a gasifying agent into a bath of high-temperature iron 15 kept in a molten state. A high-pressure gasifying oven 1 holding the molten iron bath is divided into a gasifying chamber 3 and a slag dischrging chamber 4 by a partitioning wall 2 suspended from the ceiling of the oven and having a cooling device. The pressure in the two chambers is controlled by means of liquid level adjusting high-pressure valves P1 and P2 and pressure reading valves V1 and V2 and slag is discharged continuously. The high-pressure gasification oven has a slag discharging aperture and an outside slag discharging chamber for continuous discharge of formed slag and a control device in the same construction as above which controls liquid levels of the gasifying chamber and the slag discharging chamber to perform continuous discharge of slag.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to regulate the temperature of molten iron contained in an iron bath gasification apparatus, by covering the external surface of the body of the iron bath furnace made of iron with a water cooling means, and providing the water cooling means with automatic regulator means for calculating the required quantity of the cooling water. CONSTITUTION:An iron bath furnace 7 made of iron, comprising an iron furnace wall 1 is charged with molten iron 13, coal is added thereto through a hopper 10, and oxygen through an oxygen blowing lance 8 and steam through a steam blowing lance 9 are introduced. On the external surface of the furnace wall 1, a plurality of temperature probes associated with a flow rate detector 4 for cooling water, an inlet temperature detector and an outlet temperature detector are arranged. The external surface temperature of the furnace wall Ts(i), the thickness of the furnace wall X(i) and the set temperature of the molten iron Ti are transmitted as input signals to a computer I, wherein the heat removal density required for the given operation g(i) is computed. The g(i), cooling water inlet temperature Tin(i) and cooling water outlet temperature Tout(i) are transmitted as input signals to a computer II, wherein the required quantity of the cooling water Q(i) is computed, and the Q(i) regulates a regulating valve III so as to keep the g(i) constant.
