The centering devices 21, 22 which guide both side ends to the position of the material incoming side parted by the same distance L2 from the cutting position and the welding position are disposed. The centering devices 22, 25 are disposed to the position on the material outgoing side of the distance L3 from the cutting position and welding position. The set condition at the time of cutting is reproduced in this way at the time of the setting for welding of the preceding material and the succeeding material and the sure welding operation is carried out while the perpendicularity is maintained.
