摘要： PURPOSE: To easily and exactly identify respective optical lines at their ends. CONSTITUTION: The optical lines 50 are provided thereon with identifying marks 39 consisting of signal groups composed of plural reflection parts and reference reflection parts. The relative positions thereof are changed for every optical line 50 to provide the identification marks for the respective optical lines. Inspection light is made incident on the optical lines 50 and the reflected light returning from the respective reflection parts is detected by a Michelson interferometer 30. The identification marks 39 are detected in accordance with the optical path differences of the respective reflected light rays to identify the respective optical lines.

By measuring the wavelength of the reflected light by a light receiving part 21 after making the combination of the reflection wavelength of each reflection part as the identification mark 39 differ at every optical path 50, the optical path 50 is identified based on the measurement result.

CONSTITUTION:The optical lines 50 are provided with reflection parts for reflecting light of a specific wavelength as identification signals for identifying the individual optical lines. A light emitting section 10 has an acousto-optical element 25 which allows the transmission of the light of the specific wavelength among the light beams emitted from a light source 24 and continuously changes this transmission wavelength by a driving section 28. A light receiving section 21 has also an acousto-optical element 32' and a driving section 33' and continuously changes the transmission wavelength of the acousto-optical element 32' so that only the light transmitted therethrough is received by a light receiving element 34. The phase differences of these two acousto- optical elements 25, 32' are changed and the phase difference DELTAt when the reflected light is made incident on the light receiving element 34 and the time t' since the light is transmitted through the acousto-optical element 25 until the light is received by the light receiving element 24 are measured. As a result, the identification signal of this optical line 50 and the optical distance from this identification signal are recognized.

CONSTITUTION:An optical switch is constituted in such a way that a beam splitter 5 which transmits signal light having a wave length (lambda1) and reflects reference light having a wave length (lambda2) is arranged in a line of a master side fiber 3, and the master side fiber 3 is coupled with a positioning measurement device 4 through this beam splitter 5. Since this measurement device 4 has a light source 7 to radiate the reference light (lambda2) to the coupling edge surface 1c of an optical fiber 1 and a detector 8 to detect a light quantity of return light from the coupling edge surface 1c, a master side connector is positioned relatively to the optical fiber 1 so that the light quantity of the return light detected by the detector 8 becomes minimum.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for discriminating a light line by measuring a reflecting wavelength while excluding the influence of a background component caused by the reflection of an inspection light except a reflector. When the reference wavelength of the inspection light is altered while detecting the reflecting light intensity by the detector 10 and the reference wavelength is so regulated that the frequency of the time change of the reflected light intensity becomes twice as large as the wavelength change frequency of the inspection light, the reference wavelength at that time is obtained as the reflected wavelength of the reflector 62.
