摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement sensor capable of measuring a displacement without setting a transmitting device of observation data in an individual sensor. SOLUTION: This sensor is provided with a vessel 1 and a universal roller 2 interlocked with the displacement of a matter to be monitored 50. A wedge 3 is preferably used to interlock the universal roller 2 to the matter 50 to be monitored. A fixed sheave 10 and a movable sheave 11 interlocked with the protruding and recessing of the universal roller are housed in the vessel 1, and an optical fiber 9 is laid between both the sheaves 10, 11. When the movable sheave 11 is moved in the direction of separating from the fixed sheave 10 according to the displacement of the universal roller 2, an elongation distortion is imparted to the optical fiber 9. This distortion is observed by a BOTDR to monitor the displacement.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope abnormality observing system secured with good economy, which can sense any abnormal phenomenon at the stage of forerunning, such as landslide, rock fall, likely at a mountain flank or the side slope of a road. SOLUTION: Strain gauges 4 including optical fiber 4a accommodated in metal pipe are laid on a guard net 1 stretched over a slope of a place of ovservation, and thereby an abnormality observation sensor part 3 is formed. The optical fibers 4a of these sensors 4 are tied together in series and connected with a strain sensing device 7 in a monitor center through a signal transmitting optical fiber 8. An elongative strain is generated in optical fiber(s) owing to dislocation of a rock or the like in the netting 1. The generated strain is sensed through utilization of the trait that the generation frequency of Brillouin dispersion light shifts with change in the elongative strain, and thereby abnormality can be known at the stage of forerunning.

摘要： PURPOSE:To house an oil-leak detection sensor using an optical fiber so as to be a shape adapted to an OF cable and to surely give a bend to the optical fiber when the oil is leaked. CONSTITUTION:In a sensor, an optical fiber 4 is arranged between an oil- absorbing expansion material 2 and a stress-giving member 3. In the sensor, a pressure face 2A for the oil-absorbing expansion material 2 is formed to be a concave shape, and the outer shape of the sensor is curved at a curvature along the diameter of a covering, made of lead, so that the sensor can be housed between a corrosion-protective layer for an OF cable and the covering made of lead. The leak of an oil is detected by monitoring a change in the transmission loss of the optical fiber 4 by using an OTDR. Since the pressure face is concave-shaped, the optical fiber 4 does not escape to the side and can be pressed surely to the stress-giving member.

Different wavelengths are used for the measured back scattered light and a light signal for communication and the light beams having those wavelengths are multiplexed on a transmission die and demultiplexed on a reception side.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow velocity sensor with which a flow velocity can be measured, without installing the transmission device of observed data at each sensor. SOLUTION: This flow velocity sensor is provided with a container 1. In addition, it is provided with a pressure-receiving part 2 which is formed at the tip of the container and which is deformed by water flow pressure. A fixed sieve 12 and a movable sieve 13, which is interlocked with the deformation of the pressure-receiving part 2, are housed inside the container. An optical fiber 11 is stretched between both sieves 12, 13. If the movable sieve 13 is moved, due to the deformation of the pressure receiving part 2 in a direction separating from the fixed sieve 12, an elongation strain is given to the optical fiber 11. The strain is observed by a BOTDR or the like so as to monitor a flow velocity. When the submerged depth of the sensor is measured by a water-depth display measure 6, the flow velocity at an arbitray depth can be measured.

SOLUTION: The cleat for fixing an optical fiber sensor laid on an object to be monitored, is provided with a pair of rollers 2 where an optical fiber sensor is wound, and a fitting part 1 rotatably supporting the roller 2 and fixed to the object to be monitored. By winding the optical fiber sensor around the roller 2 in an 8-shape, a local bending is prevented from occurring. Due to the frictional force at such point as the optical fiber sensor is wound, the slippage occurring between the metal pipe of the sensor and the optical fiber is suppressed.
