    • PURPOSE:To obtain a coated sintered hard alloy tool provided with wear resistance and excellent toughness by forming a coating layer consisting of carbide, etc., of Ti on the surface of a base body consisting of a sintered hard alloy and further, forming a coating layer consisting of Al2O3 on the surface thereof to an optimum thickness. CONSTITUTION:A 1st coating layer of single or multiple layers consisting of at least one kind among the carbide, nitride, carbonitride, carbonic acid nitride, acid nitride, bron nitride and borocarbonitride is formed on the surface of the base body consisting of the sintered hard alloy. The 2nd coating layer consisting of Al2O3 is then formed on the surface of the above-mentioned 1st coating layer. The 3rd coating layer of single or multiple layers consisting of at least one kind among the carbide, nitride, carbonitride, carbonic acid nitride, acid nitride, or BN, and AlN of Ti, Zr, Hf, etc., is formed on the surface of the 2nd coating layer as desired. The above-mentioned 1st-3rd coating layers are formable by a chemical vapor deposition method. The 2nd coating layer is formed to 0.1-1.2mum thickness and the entire film of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd coating layers is formed to 0.5-3.5mum thickness.
