    • PURPOSE: To uniformly coat the inside of a pipe even which may have a bent part of small radius of curvature, by forming at least rear one of two pigs between solventless paint is interposed from a spherical body having elasticity, and transferring each pig with fluid pressure from the backside.
      CONSTITUTION: A preceding pig 2 and a rear pig 3 comprising an elastic spherical body are inserted into a pipe body 1 such as a steel pipe, and solventless paint 4 is interposed in a space therebetween. The backside of the pig 3 is affected by fluid pressure such as air pressure, pressure difference is held between the front and rear sides of the pig 3, and said paint 4 is transferred through the pig 3. Hence, the film of said paint 4 is formed on the inner surface of the pipe body 1. As a material for forming the pig 3, rubber, soft synthetic resin, etc. may be used. As said paint, a substantially solventless type is preferable, and its viscosity is 200W600 poise at an ordinary temp. (0W40°C). By this method, the formation of a uniform coating film can be performed, said uniform coating can be applied onto piping even which may have small radius of curvature, and the labor of treatment after the application processing can be remarkably curtailed.
