摘要： PURPOSE:To resolve a head cut at the recording time by generating a fast forward signal in response to an output of detecting the beginning part of a tape, making the tape travel by a prescribed amt., stopping it subsequently and performing a normal operation. CONSTITUTION:When the beginning of a tape is detected by a tape head detector 14, a signal S1 is generated. An analog switch 15 is turned on in response to the signal S1, and the signal S1 is supplied to a fast forward circuit 17. Then, the fast forward signal is supplied to a mechanical mechanism including the tape 11 by the circuit 17 to make the tape 11 fast forward for a prescribed time. And, the signal S1 is also supplied to a monostable multivibrator MM 19, where a signal S2 is generated, lasting for a prescribed time. The signal S2 is supplied to a next stage MM 20 to generate a signal S3 in synchronization with its leading edge. Now, the signal S3 makes an analog switch 21 turned on, and is supplied to a stop circuit 22, so that the tape 11 is stopped by the circuit 22 and entered into a reproducing operation. At this time, the tape 11 is fast forward, whereas a head cutting part has been taken up to a take-up reel 13. By this method, a head cut in the beginning of the tape can be prevented at the time of recording.

摘要： PURPOSE:To quicken and simplify retrieval and visual recognition of recording contents of a recording medium cassette by providing a connecting terminal on the cassette, connecting it to the recording and reproducing device and displaying the recording information of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part is provided on a bottom surface wall of the case of the recording medium cassette 1A, and is formed with a terminal group 14 by fitting contacts 14a-14d into slit-like grooves. A connector 21 of the recording and reproducing device 20 is inserted into this terminal group 14, so that a power source voltage 22a is supplied, and also a 3-bit signal is sent out to a microcomputer 22. Then, the terminal group 14 is connected to a remote commander, so that the contents of a recognition signal of the cassette 1A are read out and displayed on a display part. By this method, the retrieval and the visual recognition of the recording information of the cassette can quickly and simply be performed without loading a magnetic tape.

A power supply voltage is supplied to one of the contact points through one of the detecting contact points. By the state being connected or not connected with the contact point supplied with the power supply voltage, the other contacts should display '0' or '1', therefore, the displays are utilized as the signals of plural bits, and a specified information is read through the detecting contact points. Meanwhile, when two contact points are connected through a resistor, the detections of the states in three ways including the connection and nonconnection between the contact points are performed for each contact point.

Consequently, it should never happen that the cleaning tape is inadvertently used for a long time. By this method, the head is prevented from being abraded.
