SOLUTION: This navigation system is provided with a navigation device mounted in a traveling object for displaying a map image corresponding to the position and traveling direction of the traveling object and a display device installed in an object different from the navigation device for displaying the map image on a display picture. This navigation system is provided with an inclination detecting means for detecting the direction and tilt angle of the display picture, an arithmetic means for calculating an enlargement rate or a reduction rate in proportion to the tilt angle of the display picture by using the front end of the display picture as a reference based on the tilt direction of the display picture detected by the tilt detecting means and an image deforming means for deforming the map image in order to prevent depth perception based on the arithmetic result of the arithmetic means. The display device is configured to display the map image deformed by the image deforming means on the display picture.
