CONSTITUTION:Since the frictional resistance of the mounting plane of the table main body 4 on which the center hub 8 is mounted is very small, the center hub 8 is held at an original position without following up the rotation of the table main body 4. As a result, since a driving pin 7 is easily slided to the center hub 8, the driving pin 7 can be inserted into a positioning hole 11 with an absolute minimum displacement of the rotation of the table main body 4. Thus, a disk 9 is prevented from being started to rotate in a state where the position of the center hub 8 is being deviated from the normal position and the loading defect of a floppy disk is surely prevented.

      SOLUTION: Distance information including tolerance from the surface of an optical recording medium to a recording layer and position-drive value correspondence information indicating the relation between a focal position of a laser beam and a focus drive signal value with a medium attachment surface as the reference are stored. On the basis of the distance information and the position-drive value correspondence information, a focus drive signal value when a focusing position of the laser beam is at a lower limit position of the recording layer and a focus drive signal value when it is at an upper limit position are obtained, and the sections other than the section between the focus drive signal values are set as masked sections with respect to a reflected light signal. Accordingly, when performing the focus-on operation, a servo pull-in object section corresponds to that from the lower limit position to the upper limit position of the recording layer, thereby preventing the focus servo pull-in from being performed from an incorrect S-curve signal accompanying the stray light.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent a cassette holder in empty state from falling to a cassette loading position and to prevent the occurrence of collision among heads by detecting the insertion of a cassette by a cassette detection mechanism and allowing the down movement of the cassette holder. CONSTITUTION: When a disk cassette is inserted into a cassette holder 3, a pin 63 is activated, the restraint of a cassette detection mechanism 56 and an engagement pin 68 is released, an up and down operation plate 2 is guided by a pin 55 and a long hole 66 and pushed to a forward direction by a spring force. The motion of the plate 2 is transmitted through a tilt guide 36 and a roller 4. The holder 3 holds a disk cassette, is led by a guide groove 5 and moves down to a cassette loading position from a cassette insertion position. If a disk cassette is not inserted into the holder 3, a lock arm 12a of a shutter open and close lever 12 stops the displacement of the mechanism 56 and the movement of the plate 2 caused by the collision during a transportation is prevented.
