    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkenyl acetate making catalyst with improved activity and selectivity. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the alkenyl acetate making catalyst, a carrier is made to support a chemical compound containing palladium, a chemical compound containing a Group 11 element and a chemical compound containing an alkali earth metal element. Then, the carrier is impregnated with an alkaline solution. Alternatively, this carrier is made to support the chemical compound containing palladium and the chemical compound containing the Group 11 element, and then, is impregnated with the alkaline solution of a chemical compound containing an alkali earth metal element. Further, the carrier is made to support an acetate following a reduction treatment of the above chemical compounds and a contact with an acid. Thus, the alkenyl acetate making catalyst composed of at least (a) the palladium, (b) the Group 11 element, (c) the alkali earth metal element, (d) the acetate and (e) the carrier can be obtained.
