SOLUTION: This medicine includes an Eugenia caryophyllata extract. The Eugenia caryophyllata extract is the extract of Eugenia caryophyllata, which is a plant of the family Myrtaceae, with water or an organic solvent, and obtained, for example, by stirring and extracting a dry powder of a bud, a leaf, a seed, an aboveground part or the entire plant of the Eugenia caryophyllata, or a cut material of the non-dry bud of Eugenia caryophyllata, with the water, methanol or the like for 1-10 hr under heating to 30-700 deg.C, and filtering the extract, and carrying out concentration, etc., of the filtrate. The formulating amount of the Eugenia caryophyllata extract is preferably 0.0005-10.0 wt.% as a dried material in the whole amount of the medicine. As a result, the objective medicine usable as a form of the skin preparation for external use having immunoactivating activities of the Eugenia caryophyllata extract, or improvement and prevention activities for the decrease of immunological function by ultraviolet rays is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin-substitutive membrane capable of precisely measuring transmittance characteristic and/or reflection characteristic of ultraviolet rays of an agent for external application onto the skin, a mold to be used for manufacturing the skin-substitutive membrane, method of manufacturing the skin-substitutive membrane, and the method of evaluating agent for external application onto the skin.
      SOLUTION: The skin-substitutive membrane of polymethyl methacrylate, polyethylene, nylon or quartz is 0.2 to 5 mm in thickness, 50 to 100% in spectral transmittance of light having the wave length of 290 to 400 nm. On the surface of one side, groove-like recesses 2, the cross section of which are chamfered and flat surface parts 3 are formed, and arithmetic average roughness (Sa) is 10 to 50 μm. The width of the recessed parts 2 are 50 to 500 μm, and the depth of the same are 30 to 150 μm. The flat parts 3 are imparted with the chamfered roughness, and the arithmetic average roughness (Sa) is 0.1 to 30 μm.
