CONSTITUTION:This refractory for treating molten pig iron is composed of by weight, 2-15% aluminum oxynitride, 2-15% beta-alumina, 5-20% silicon carbide, 5-25% graphite, 0-7wt.% one or more among Al, ferrosilicon and boron carbide and the balance aluminous starting material such as electromelted alumina or natural alumina. Since aluminum oxynitride improves oxidation and corrosion resistance, this refractory has satisfactory performance as a furnace material for a torpedo ladle car and the material of a pan for treating molten pig iron.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make uniform packing degree and to reduce porosity by charging packing material into a molten metal flowing through hole in a nozzle receiving brick, insert nozzle and a fixed plate after making a sliding plate close condition and applying the vibration from upper of the packing material. CONSTITUTION:After making the sliding nozzle device (SN device) close, the necessary quantity of the packing material 1 is packed into the molten steel flowing through hole in the fixed plate 7, insert nozzle 3 and nozzle receiving brick 4, and the top part is packed as hill. After completing the packing, a vibrator 2 provided with a vibrating plate 6 hung with a wire 5 is laid on upper part of the packing material 1, and by working the vibrator 2, the vibration is applied to pack the packing material while vibrating. By this method, the packing degree is improved and stickiness among particles of the packing mate rial is improved and the resistant force to buoyance of the packing material at the time of pouring the molten steel is generated and flowing loss caused by floating-up is made to little. Further, local porosity is eliminated and the packing degree is made uniform.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve a working environment and minimize repairing time by a method wherein a repair material to be poured is dropped down from upward of a repair metal which is shaped in a cylinder with a lid and covered over the upper part of an insert nozzle of a taphole, and filled in a part broken by melting around the taphole. CONSTITUTION:At first, a repair metal 12 is set over an insert nozzle 3. Next, a repair material to be poured is suspended just above the metal 3, and then made to drop down on the metal 12. The repair material flows over an upper flat part of the metal 12 substantially evenly and fills entirely a part 11 broken by melting. The repair material, having high fluidity, flows intimately into narrow recessed parts of the part 11. When the material hardens in 2-5 minutes after pouring, the metal 12 is removed. In this method, as no repair material scatters, and neither dust nor steam is generated, the working environment can be clean. Further, working under high temperature is facilitated, any danger can be prevented, and repairing time can be minimized.
