摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material recovery method from a secondary battery waste material capable of effectively recovering a metal compound useful as a positive electrode material from the secondary battery waste material at a low cost in a reusable form as it is and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary wherein the metal compound recovered like this is used for a part or all of its positive electrode material. SOLUTION: This positive electrode material recovery method from a secondary battery waste material is used for recovering a metal compound in an electrode material by thermally decomposing the secondary battery waste material in which the electrode material is applied to metal foil. The method comprises: a peeling process for peeling the electrode material from the metal foil by heating the secondary battery waste material to 300-500 deg.C in an oxygen- containing gas current; a separation process for recovering a powder substance by separating and removing the metal foil from the provided peeled material; a roasting process for burning a combustible substance in the powder substance by heating the recovered powder substance to 500-650 deg.C in the oxygen-containing gas current; and a recovery process for recovering the provided roasted substance as the metal compound for the positive electrode material. This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary includes the metal compound recovered like this as a part or all of its positive electrode material.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an etching-back process to be carried out in a short time by a method wherein polishing composition for copper metal comprises a first organic acid which reacts on copper, is non-soluble in water, and generates a copper complex, a second organic acid which has a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group, abrasive particles, oxidizing agent, and water. SOLUTION: This polishing composition for copper metal comprises a first organic acid, a second organic acid, abrasive particles, oxidizing agent, and water. The first organic acid reacts on a copper hydrate, is not soluble in water, and generates a copper complex more fragile than Cu. 2-quinoline carboxylic acid or 2-pyridine carboxylic acid is utilized as the first organic acid. The second organic acid is possessed of a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group. A lactic acid, a tartaric acid, a mandelic acid, or a malic acid is utilized as the second organic acid. By this setup, an etching-back operation can be carried out in a short time, and a conductive member such as a very accurate buried wiring layer can be formed.

As a result, the Co is selectively and efficiently recovered from the waste secondary battery materials.

Water is added to the removing soln. by 0.01-30%, and the obtained emulsion removing soln. is preferably used as the removing soln. As a result, the metallic foil and electrode material of the waste material are released from each other easily and efficiently and separately recovered, and a useful metal is efficiently recovered with high purity.
