摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent characters or images from being overlapped at a stapled part when staple is designated. CONSTITUTION:Original image data read by a CCD sensor 22 are converted to digital signals by an A/D converter 31, binarized by a binarizing part 33 and stored in an image memory 34 after receiving shading correction at a shading correction part 32. Concerning the image data stored in this image memory 34, the presence/absence of images peripheral to the stapled part of an original is recognized by a stapled part peripheral image recognition part 36 and when the image is temporarily recognized, the shift of the image and/or the reduction processing of the image is performed by a control part 37. An image memory 35 for work is provided for recognizing the stapled part peripheral image of the original and for selecting the shift of the image and/or the reduction processing of the image, and the control part 37 controls an image shift processing part 38 and a reduction processing part 39.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a motor control method in which capacity of microcomputor in a motor controller can be utilized effectively by altering the time interval for updating a speed command signal depending on the control mode of acceleration, constant speed, deceleration, or the like. CONSTITUTION:A motor (a) is driven through a full-bridge driver (e) which is switched by an output PWM signal from a CPU and the speed of the motor (a) can be varied proportionally by varying ON/OFF ratio of the PWM signal. In case of a copy machine, update time interval T1 of motor speed command signal is set relatively short under document scan mode requiring high control accuracy. Update interval T2 of motor speed command signal is set relatively long under return mode requiring much time for interruption processing of encoder pulse because of high speed operation but not requiring high control accuracy. This method allows effective utilization of the processing capacity of microcomputor.

摘要： PURPOSE:To shorten the wait time required until copying operation can take place after the fixation part in service was changed. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of heat roller are furnished being equipped with heater lamps, and therewith a fixation part for monochromic copying and another for full-color copying are formed. The heater lamps are given the order of priority, and in conformity thereto a temp. control device performs one by one the temp. control of each heater lamp for changing over the current fed thereto. (no at Step 21) and the heater lamp is off at present (no at Step 22), wherein the judgement value is prepared by adding the watt number B of the heater lamp under control to the sum A of the watt numbers of other heater lamps which are being fed with current at present, and only when the A+B is below 1000 (no at Step 25), the applicable heater lamp is put on.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate waste of copying sheet due to delay in detection of jamming and to reduce maintenance cost in a copying machine by individually setting jamming detection timing corresponding to each copying mode. CONSTITUTION:Heating lamps 35 to 37 where heating temperature of each can be controlled to an arbitrary temperature, are provided in a central part of fixing rolls 32 to 34 and outer periphery surface of each fixing roll 32 to 34 is heated by these heating lamps 35 to 37 and color toner transferred to a copying sheet 41 is melt-stuck by being heated by heater lamps 35 to 37. Moreover, the fixing rolls 32 to 34 have the rotational direction and positions of the rolls appropriately changed over for each copying mode. A different fixing roll among 32 to 34 is utilized for a full color copying mode, a color copying mode, or a black and white copying mode and the length of the fixing and carrying path is different for each copying mode. Then, since the jamming detection time is made different according to each copying mode in the fixing device 22, a more accurate jamming detection can be carried out.

However, the image is not corrected if it is in the midst of a consecutive copying cycle even when the copying processing is interrupted. The interruption of the copying processing is decided when the set number of sheets of copies is other than zero, when a document is set on an ADF or the like other than when the concentration of toner is decided to be lowered or the like.

Therefore, the comparator 26 compares the voltage showing the average consumed quantity of the toner per day from the divider 24 with the voltage showing the residual quantity of the toner. Then, the comparator 26 outputs a signal showing the compared result to a replenishment display part 29.

An original type discrimination section 14 provided in a copying machine discriminates whether the original is a color original or a mono-tone original based on each of R, G, B outputs. When the original is discriminated to be a color original, a full color mode signal is outputted and when the original is discriminated to be a mono-tone original, a mono-tone mode signal is outputted.

摘要： PURPOSE:To clean an original platen if the platen is stained and to improve deteriorated picture quality in its early stage by performing abnormality processing once the presence of a non-change area is decided even after an original image changes. CONSTITUTION:An image processing system is provided with an LED array 4 which irradiates an original 3 with light and a CCD sensor 5 which detects the quantity of reflected light corresponding to the density of the original image. The sensor 5 decides whether or not there is the non-change area where an image signal stored in an image memory 34 has no change even after the original image changes. When the presence of the non-change area is decided, an image processing part 32 performs the abnormality processing such as the generation of a warning signal. Then, copying operation is prevented from being repeated in a deteriorated picture quality state without notifying the staining of the original platen 1. Then the stain is cleaned in its early stage and the deteriorated picture quality is improved fast.
