Besides, this device is provided with a transfer control means simultaneously executing an operation that the toner image formed on the belt 1f is transferred on the paper P by the roller 5 and an operation that the toner image formed on the belt 2f is transferred on the paper P by the roller 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput for monochrome image formation by disposing first and second developing means which develop respectively electrostatic latent images on the first and second photoreceptors with toner in the same color. SOLUTION: A first laser scanner unit(LSU) 18 and a second LSU 24 both form electrostatic latent images in the same black on a first photoreceptor 15 and a second photoreceptor 16, respectively, based on monochrome data, and they are formed into black toner images by being developed by a first black developing device 21A and a second black developing device 21B provided for the photoreceptors 15 and 16, respectively. Then, the black toner images formed on the respective photoreceptors 15 and 16 are transferred to the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 13 at the face opposite to transfer units 27 and 28. Thus, because the toner images in the same color can be formed by the use of both the first photoreceptor 15 and second photoreceptor 16 and the images in the same color can be formed at the same time, time required for the image formation can be shortened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct color slurring with simple constitution by superposing a pattern image being reference on a pattern image to be adjusted, measuring the density of both pattern images and judging a superposed state. SOLUTION: The pattern image P0 constituted of plural lines is transferred to a transfer carrying belt 216 by an image forming part for a color component being the reference. The pattern image P1 having the same shape is formed by the image forming part for a color component to be adjusted at timing that it is exactly superposed on the pattern image P0 of the color component being the reference on the belt 216. Then, the color slurring is corrected by setting the density value in an ideal state where the pattern image P0 of the color component being the reference is exactly superposed on the pattern image P1 of the color component to be adjusted to a prescribed value, and delaying or hastening a recording start signal for a laser beam scanner for the color component to be adjusted so that the measured value by a pattern image measuring sensor 232 may be within the tolerance of the specified value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transfer efficiency in the case of using a transfer roller when toner on a photoreceptor is transferred to an intermediate transfer belt temporarily and then transferred to a form. SOLUTION: An image of toner on the photoreceptor belt 3 is temporarily transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 5 which is pressed against the photoreceptor drum 3 through the operation of 2nd transfer rollers 6a and 6b constituting a 1st transfer device 6. Then the toner transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 5 is transferred to the form, which is sent to the press contact position of a 2nd transfer roller 7a constituting the 2nd transfer device 7, through the operation of the 2nd transfer roller 7a. Here, a counter electrode roller 7c which is grounded is provided at a specific distance 1 upstream in the rotation direction of the intermediate transfer belt 5. An electric field for transferring the toner to the form operates between the counter electrode roller 7c and 2nd transfer roller 7a to increase the transfer efficiency. The distance 1 is best 10-18mm. Further, the counter electrode roller 7c is provided rotatably, so the contact surface of the intermediate transfer belt 5 is never slaved.
