    • PURPOSE:To stabilize a directional property of flying and to stick ink to a specified position always in a constant form by a method wherein a mechanism in which a nozzle discharges ink rotating it is provided. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 10 determines a gap between a nozzle forming substrate 20 and a pressure generator 30. A nozzle 21 is formed to the nozzle forming substrate 20. The pressure generator 30 is a laminate of a 100mum PZT 31 and a 50mum Ni 32. Further, the PZT 31 is so connected that an electric field applies in a 100mum thickness direction. The nozzle 21 consists of a central circular part 21a and three feather like parts 21b extended from the circular part 21a. The nozzle 21 is so constructed that an opening area is small to an ink discharge side and a side face 20a side of the nozzle forming substrate 20 and as approaching its opposite 20b side, the opening area increases gradually in size.

    • PURPOSE:To stably provide good image quality having high resolving power over a long period of time by providing a mechanism for removing the surface of a photosensitive layer deteriorated in sensitivity and lost in surface smoothness periodically or if necessary at a time other than a printing process. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning unit 9 removes the photosensitive layer 2a of an LB film 15 and the release layer 3b being the adjacent lower layer thereof one by one in a removing process at the time of non-printing. By this method, a new photosensitive layer 2c is exposed. In the removing process, after the optical isomerizing substance contained in the photosensitive layer 2a is subjected to repeated optical reaction roughly 10000 times or at a definite time interval, the photosensitive layer 2a whose surface generates the deterioration in sensitivity and scratch resistance due to highly repeated optical reaction is removed along with the release layer 3b being in contact with the photosensitive layer 2a if necessary when an image is deteriorated. The paper powder or dust mixed at the time of transfer fixing and incapable of being removed only by the cleaning process is also removed along with the photosensitive layer 2a in the removing process.

    • PURPOSE:To form an appropriate piezoelectric element array to be arranged in an ink tank and allow generation of ink droplets with a sufficient scattering capability even at low voltage by laminating a piezoelectric material over a conductive material alternately in the form of a laminated layer, then baking them to form a piezoelectric element array and arranging a partition member between piezoelectric elements. CONSTITUTION:A partition member 10 is formed between piezoelectric elements 12, 12... which constitute a piezoelectric element array. An independent cable 6 is connected to an external conductive layer 60 to which one electrode is connected, while a common lead member is connected to an external conductive layer 62 to which the other electrode is connected. When an electric signal is connected to an area between the independent cable 76 and the common lead member, piezoelectric materials 34, 34, 34... become elongated simultaneously between the electrodes, if the signal is selectively connected to the independent cable 76. Subsequently, the displacements of the piezoelectric materials in the layers are added together to displace the free end 12a side in 'X' direction. A voltage applied to an area between electrodes 30, 32 has only to be at an extremely low level.
