SOLUTION: The pretreatment device for a root vegetable harvester equipped with a device 3 which nips the stem and leaves of a radish with a pair of right and left elastic belts 42, 42 and pulls it out of the ground, is provided with a transversely rotating pulling-up mechanism 1B which rotates and moves a plurality of projections 20 around the axis (Q) in the longitudinal direction to pull up the stem and leaves of a radish in the soil, a rotor 47 which is set to the starting end of the elastic belt 42 to take the stem and leaves in and a pair of guides rising toward the end ranging from the transversely rotating pulling up mechanism 1B to the stem and leaves taking in rotor 47. A vertically rotating pulling up-mechanism 1A which rotates and moves a plurality of projections 16 around the right and left crosswise axis (P) to pull up the stem and leaves of a radish in the soil is set in the front of the transversely rotating pulling up mechanism 1B.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth root vegetable-collecting work, even when the conveying mechanisms are actually different, for example, make it possible to convey the root vegetables or cut off the stem and leaves without inconvenience, even when the stem and the leaves are nipped with a pair of belts. SOLUTION: This root vegetable harvester is provided with a device 3 which nips its stem and leaves of a radish and pulls out the radish from the ground, a conveyer 4 which hangs down the pulled-out radish and conveys it upward to the rear, a positioning conveyer mechanism 5 which nips again the stem and leaves of the radishes and conveys them, as it hangs down them and a cutter 6 which cuts the stem and leaves during conveying so that the vertical distance between the rear conveyer 4 and the positioning conveyer mechanism on the lower side may expand mutually as they go backward. The nipping powers of the rear conveyer 4 and the positioning conveyer mechanism 5 are set so that it may become slidable, when the vertical power acting on the root vegetable increases over a prescribed value, and the prescribed value according to the rear conveyer is set larger than that of the positioning conveyer 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain braking state reliably even when a switch for starting an engine is turned off for stopping a combine vehicle on a slope. SOLUTION: In a transmission system for a crawler vehicle, a transmission unit is provided, wherein hydraulic clutches C1, C2 and C3 are interposed in each of a plurality of transmission passages with different transmission ratios. The transmission unit changes a plurality of speeds by selectively causing one of the hydraulic clutches C1, C2 and C3 to operate so as to make one of the transmission passages in a transmittable condition. Further, the hydraulic clutches C1, C2 and C3 are connected to a switch valve 63 for selecting either thereof so as to configure a hydraulic circuit for speed change operation. In addition, the hydraulic circuit for speed change operation is provided with a pressure decrease means for decreasing the pressure of the pressure oil with respect to the hydraulic clutches C1, C2, C3 by turning off a starting switch 68 for an engine 7. Finally, a hydraulic cylinder 69 is connected to the hydraulic circuit for speed change operation so as to operate a parking brake 19 such that it is applied when hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic circuit becomes lower than a prescribed one.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent different left and right stopping motions by an operator's operation of a command means for decreasing hydraulic pressure so as to disengage a hydraulic clutch thus decoupling driving units for right and left crawlers and a transmission system. SOLUTION: A control unit receives an input signal from an exclusive operating switch for selecting a postion between two to stop running, which is mounted at a drivers section. The control unit outputs an actuation signal to a solenoid of a neutral valve 67 based on an on-signal corresponding to the switch-on operation and decreases hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic circuit 66. As a result, a first to third hydraulic clutches C1 to C3 are disengaged and the running is stopped. In this case, the operating switch composes a command means. Further, with the hydraulic pressure decrease in the hydraulic circuit 66, oil is discharged from a hydraulic cylinder 69, too, and a parking brake 19 becomes under braking condition. As a result, a vehicle body is retained stopped in linkage with crawler driving units.

The second carrying device 7 is provided with a pair of right and left circularly moved carrying belts 34A, 35B, and the starting end side distance of the leaf portion B1-nipping portion between the right and left carrying belts 34A, 34B is preferably larger than that on the final side end distance.
