      SOLUTION: A power supply interruption circuit 118 is provided in a power supply line given to a slave microcomputer 112. In communication between the main microcomputer 111 and the slave microcomputer 112, when the slave microcomputer 112 receives abnormal data and such receipt is discriminated by the main microcomputer 111, the power supply interruption circuit 118 is operated by the main microcomputer 111, thereby temporarily suspending the supply of power to the slave microcomputer 112 to reset and initialize the slave microcomputer. The slave microcomputer 112 is a control part for administering the control over a display part 10A and key dials 10B, 10C, 10D, and even if the slave microcomputer 112 is reset and initialized, failure in cooking is not caused.

SOLUTION: Before starting a cooking operation, an infrared ray temperature sensor 101 is operated, a temperature at a specified location within a heating chamber is measured and a result of measurement is outputted to an informing part 103. For example, when a frozen food with a surface temperature of -18 deg.C is placed within the heating chamber and it is set within an infrared ray informing range, a value of -18 deg.C is displayed. When a sensing signal indicating that a door is opened is received from a door sensing part 106 or when a setting output of an adjusting condition is received from an input part 102, a control part 107 measures a variation in temperature in the heating chamber in response to the infrared ray temperature sensor 101, discriminates whether or not the heated item is placed at the desired location in reference to the variation in temperature and then outputs the result of discrimination to an informing part 103.

A distance between the central part of the large-sized projecting surface 61 and an interface side between the top plate 6 and a right side plate 10 is set to an approximate half wave length (60nm) of the micro-wave. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to perform a random uniform reflection of the micro-wave fed from the electrical energy supplying port 13 into every corner of the cavity 2 and to perform a uniform heating of the heated item.
