    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure for a traction type rail flaw grinding machine automatically grinding a rail flaw without influence from traveling and difference of overhead traveling cranes, and which doesn't require submission of a notification of modification for cranes in accordance with safety regulation for cranes and the like. SOLUTION: This connection structure for a traction type rail flaw grinding machine 10 positioned above a rail 11, and connecting a rail flaw grinding machine 14 to a vehicle body 17 equipped with a bottom member 68 projecting at both sides, is equipped with a rolling wheel 20 rolling on an upper surface 28 of a head part 12 of the rail 11 and a roll grinding wheel 22 grinding a rail flaw 13 on the upper part side surface of the head 12 of the rail 11. The rail flaw grinding machine 14 is provided with a detachable fixing means 18 equipped with first and second hooking parts 46 and 47 wherein each is hooked to both side parts 66 and 67 of the bottom member 68 of the vehicle main body 17, and a vise mechanism 50 pressing the first and second hooking parts 46 and 47 against the both side parts 66 and 67 of the bottom member 68.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent piles from increasing in number, the embedded depth of foundations and ground beams from being deepened, and concrete from increasing in quantity due to horizontal load and to reduce construction costs by increasing the horizontal load-bearing strength of piles in horizontal load-bearing piles and a method for arranging the same. SOLUTION: For bearing the pressure at the interface between a foundation 3 and earth i.e., earth pressure caused by the interaction between earth and a building by a horizontal force caused in the case that the building receives seismic load and wind load at the foundation piles of the building, a plurality of plate-shaped earth pressure plates 2 vertically protruded from the pile surfaces are provided at upper parts of the piles. in the case of a group of piles in which a plurality of horizontal load-bearing piles are arranged and in the case of two plate-shaped right and left earth pressure plates 2 vertically protruded from a pile surface at an upper part of the pile for bearing the pressure at the interface between a foundation 3 and earth i.e., earth pressure caused by the interaction between earth and a building by a horizontal force, horizontal load-bearing strength is enhanced by arranging the piles 1 in such a way that the orientation of the earth pressure plates 2 is at right angles with respect to the orientation of the adjacent pile 1.
