摘要： PURPOSE:To make root system germinate and enlarge from an early period, to stably enable early-season culture of especially maize and to produce high- quality harvest, by absorbing a specific brassinosteroid in seed of maize and seeding. CONSTITUTION:A brassinosteroid shown by formula I (R is group shown by formula II, formula III, formula IV or formula V) is absorbed in seed of maize and seeded or applied to young seedling thereof and maize having dark color grain, gloss and increased sweetness is cultivated. As a method to absorb the brassinosteroid in seed the compound shown by formula I is diluted with a large amount of water into 0.0001-3ppm concentration and the seed is preferably immersed in the solution for 1-5hr at 15-22 deg.C. The treated seed is taken out from the treating solution, dried or not dried and can be seeded. The brassinosteroid is blended with a carrier and an auxiliary, made into an agent such as dust and can be directly applied as it is. This method can be safely operated without using a large amount of an organic solvent.
