    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil diagnosis sensor capable of determining a soil wherein a damage due to disease is generated simply in a short time without knowing the result acquired by planting vegetation. SOLUTION: The soil diagnosis sensor using microbe is formed as follows: in a sensor equipped with electrodes comprising at least a working electrode and a counter electrode on an electrical insulating substrate, the microbe is allowed to adhere onto the working electrode, and then a water-permeable filter covering the microbe is provided. Since the water-permeable filter is used in the soil diagnosis sensor, when preparing soil extraction liquid, such an excellent effect is brought that only a soluble component is allowed to reach the electrode upside and easy measurement becomes possible by dipping the sensor directly into soil suspension, without the aid of an operation by centrifugal separation or the like.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting container for rooftop greening for both watering and oxygen supply and a protection measure for a strong wind, sunshine and heat and cold.
      SOLUTION: This planting container 1 is such one that a pair of openings 11 are set on opposite two sides of a side face near a bottom in which soil of the container 1 is filled, a vent pipe 2 connecting to the opening 11 and comprising a porous or mesh structure is set, a watering piping 3 is arranged in the vent pipe, a fixing frame 4 is inserted to form a fixation structure against the strong wind, and a mat-like water-absorbing sheet made of nonwoven fabric is laid on the container bottom to let the sheet absorb surplus water. The external water supply and the fixation structure are each covered with curbstones 5 around many arrayed container rows. Furthermore, support holding holes 12 for supporting plant/plant protective sheet are set on corners of a container side wall, and supports are set upright to use for supporting the protective sheet and plants.

    • PURPOSE:To make root system germinate and enlarge from an early period, to stably enable early-season culture of especially maize and to produce high- quality harvest, by absorbing a specific brassinosteroid in seed of maize and seeding. CONSTITUTION:A brassinosteroid shown by formula I (R is group shown by formula II, formula III, formula IV or formula V) is absorbed in seed of maize and seeded or applied to young seedling thereof and maize having dark color grain, gloss and increased sweetness is cultivated. As a method to absorb the brassinosteroid in seed the compound shown by formula I is diluted with a large amount of water into 0.0001-3ppm concentration and the seed is preferably immersed in the solution for 1-5hr at 15-22 deg.C. The treated seed is taken out from the treating solution, dried or not dried and can be seeded. The brassinosteroid is blended with a carrier and an auxiliary, made into an agent such as dust and can be directly applied as it is. This method can be safely operated without using a large amount of an organic solvent.
