    • PURPOSE:To provide a gas combustion device having an improved safety characteristic, by constituting such that a gas passage may be closed by deenergizing and consequently by closing a manual solenoid valve and a temperature adjusting solenoid valve when a flame detecting circuit does not detect any flame. CONSTITUTION:A gas passage 1 with one end connected to a gas source and other end connected with a burner 2 is provided with a manual solenoid valve 3 and a temperature adjusting solenoid valve 4. The manual solenoid valve 3 is provided with a spring positively closing a valve and an electric magnet affording a magnetic field sufficiently to retain the valve as opened. The manual solenoid valve 3 is closed by the recoiling force of spring and opened manually, while the magnetic force generated by energizing an electric magnet coil is utilized to retain the valve as opened. A well-known temperature adjusting solenoid valve 4 is used, which can positively close the gass passage 1 leading to the burner 2, together with the manual solenoid valve 3 when the device does not burn the gas. In this manner, the hazard of releasing raw gas can be eliminated when the gas is not ignited.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce cost, and to miniaturize the apparatus by closing a gas path by a manual solenoid valve and a solenoid valve for adjusting temperature on the non-combustion of a gas. CONSTITUTION:The manual solenoid valve 3 and the solenoid valve 4 for adjusting temperature are interposed to the gas path 1, one end thereof is communicated with a gas source and the other end thereof is connected to a burner 2, the manual solenoid valve 3 is provided with a spring having resilient force positively closing the valve and an electromagnet giving electromagnetic force only by holding the opening of the valve, and closed by the resilient force of the spring, and the valve 3 is opened manually while the opening of the valve is held by electromagnetic force by the heating of an electromagnetic coil. The solenoid valve 4 for adjusting temperature is manufactured as is generally known, and the gas path 1 communicated with the burner 2 is closed positively by the manual solenoid valve 3 and the solenoid valve 4 for adjusting temperature on the non-combustion of the gas before operating the apparatus. Accordingly, cost can be reduced and the apparatus being miniaturized.

By said operation, the flame can be rapidly stabilized by the heating due to the increasing of the flame of a gas burner 104. By the enlargement of the opening degree of the proportional control valve 205, the gas quantity required for the ignition can be secured, accordingly, the burning chamber can be prevented from explosion due to the gas supplying shortage.

    • PURPOSE:To positively close a gas passage for thereby preventing the release of raw gas, by opening switching elements in response to respective outputs from a plurality of safety timers when a flame detecting circuit fails to detect a flame. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition device fails to ignite after the passage of timed duration preset by safety timers 26, 27, the safety timer 27 drops its output for turning OFF a transistor 29 and a low level output from a flame detection circuit 28 retains a transistor 34 as turned OFF. As a result, a switching element 25 is turned OFF and the safety timer 26 raises its output level for turning OFF a transistor 33 via an abnormality detection circuit 23, whereby causing a switching element 22 to turn OFF for closing a manual solenoid valve and a temperature adjusting solenoid valve 4. In this manner, a risk of gas leakage can be eliminated at the imperfect combustion of gas. In addition, a safety in use can be increased because either the manual solenoid valve or the temperature adjusting solenoid valve can be closed even if either of them remains as opened due to a mechanical breakdown.

CONSTITUTION:A temperature detecting type oscillator 2 having a frequency variable with respect to the room temperature is made portable by setting the oscillator 2 at a place near the user of the air conditioning apparatus. Further, a frequency signal generated from the oscillator 2 is received by a receiver provided on the side of the air conditioning apparatus and is then inputted to a resonance frequency detecting circuit 11 where the signal is compared to a room temperature setting signal. As a result, a proper signal is applied on a control circuit for controlling a fuel feed valve drive section 15 to open the valve so that the valve is kept open until a set temperature is detected.
