    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing equipment using sticky ink which can suppress a rise in temperature of ink in a development apparatus by a simple and inexpensive constitution, and which can enhance image quality. SOLUTION: In this development apparatus 16A, the ink in an ink reservoir 29 is supplied to an ink fountain roller 28 and an ink supply roller 27, and distributed to inking rollers 25 and 26 which are brought into contact with a plate drum 13. A cooling roller 31 with a hollow structure is brought into contact with the roller 27, and cooling rollers 32 and 33 continue to the cooling roller 31 in such a manner as to be serially and rotatably in contact above the apparatus. The rise of the temperature of the ink is suppressed by the cooling function of a group of the cooling rollers 31, 32 and 33.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method, with which a scumming-free high quality printing can be executed at a low cost without making a test printing. SOLUTION: This printing method includes a resin and the solvent for the resin and employs an ink including an additive incompatible with the resin and the solvent and no dampening water is necessary. The method also consists of the first process for deciding the adding amount of the additive to the ink based on the tack value of the ink, and the second process for applying the ink including the decided adding amount of the additive onto the surface of a plate, on which images consisting of image parts and non-image parts are formed. Due to the adding amount of the additive is determined by employing the tack value as an index, the adding amount optimum for preventing scumming from developing is easily obtained without making a test printing even under the condition that the kinds of ink and production lots are varied.
