摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a correcting liquid which has high dissolving power with a toner resin and decreases the spreading of a solvent except in the image part to be corrected by consisting said liquid of diethylene glycol dialkyl ether and dialkyl phthalate. CONSTITUTION:The result of the inspection made to ascertain the quality possessed by a reproducible original relating to the requirement for the prohibition of the solvent spreading in the part except the image part to be corrected indicates that said paper is lipophilic to solvents such as benzene and toluene having high oiliness but is repellent to water. The solvent which can be mixed with water, i.e., the solvent having a hydrophilic property is adequate for the above- mentioned liquid. The solvent which meets the above-mentioned requirement and can satisfy correcting power and safety as well as the diethylene glycol dialkyl ether which is optimum as the correcting liquid for the toner image. The diethylene glycol dialkyl ether and dialkyl phthalate are used in combination in order to prevent the resticking of the toner by early drying.

The counter electrode 2 and the material 4 are respectively connected to the negative pole and positive pole of a DC power source 6 through an electric wire 5. Electric wires 14 connected to the electrodes 5, 6 are wound up and unwound through pulleys 15 to move the electrodes 5, 6 in the vertical direction. The pipe 4 is vertically held on a support stand 9 fixed on the bottom of a pickling bath 2. A power source 10 is connected to the electrodes 5, 6 and the pipe 4 and electric current is supplied between the electrodes 5, 6 and the pipe 4 to electrolytically pickle the pipe 4. Thus, current density between the pipe 4 and the electrodes 5, 6 is made uniform and the entire surface of the pipe 4 can be uniformly descaled.

The inner electrode 6 is also moved in the longitudinal direction of the pipe 4 by travelling a tractive rope 122 wound around pulleys 121. A power source 14 is connected to the electrodes 5, 6 and the pipe 4 to supply electric current for electrolytic pickling. Thus, bubbles of gaseous hydrogen can be effective removed and uniform satisfactory descaling can be carried out.
