    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for railroad members which has a high effect on lateral pressure reduction, wear prevention, grinding sound suppression, and prevention of sliding or slip of vehicles, is hardly influenced by the environment such as rainfall, and has low running cost.
      SOLUTION: The lubricant composition of the present invention at least comprises a lubricant base oil, a surfactant, a lubricating oil additive, and water. The lubricant composition has a property to reduce the friction between railroad members in a microscopic sliding region and a property to increase the friction between the railroad members with the increase in a slip ratio in a macroscopic sliding region.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate adhesion necessary between a wheel of a traveling rolling stock and a rail by switching a traveling course of a rolling stock from a first track to a second track by means of a course switching device for giving surface roughness to the tread face of a wheel in a wheel machining part. SOLUTION: A determination unit 12 computes a surface condition of a wheel in a railway rolling stock traveling on a traveling rail 1 on the basis of a detection result given from a first detection unit 10 and a second detection unit 11 so as to determine whether adhesion necessary between the wheel and the rail can be secured or not under the present wheel surface condition as against a weather condition. If it is determined that necessary adhesion cannot be secured, a lead rail 14 is moved so as to guide the railway rolling stock to a second track (wheel machining rail 2), while the railway rolling stock is guided to a first track (traveling rail 1) if it is determined that necessary adhesion can be secured. The railway rolling stock guided to the second track travels on the second track at a low speed. Consequently, an uneven shape of the first rough face in the wheel machining rail 2 is transferred to the tread face of the wheel and surface roughness is provided on the tread face of the wheel.
