    • PURPOSE:To easily and correctly position a sample container and a reference substance container and to surely prevent the positional shift during measurements by providing a positioning/holding means for each container in the periphery of a setting part of each container. CONSTITUTION:Inside a furnace body 8 is provided a supporting body 20 to set a sample container 21 and a reference substance container 22. A sample container setting part 26 and a reference substance container setting part 27 are formed at two points symmetric to each other to the central line of the supporting body 20. A positioning projection 25 serves as a positioning/holding means of each container 21, 22, which positions and holds the container set at the corresponding setting part 26, 27 in touch with the container from the periphery. Two bonding parts 24 are formed symmetric to each other to the central line by bending right and left ends of a setting part 23. Accordingly, when the container 21, 22 is to be set on the supporting body 20, a measuring person can correctly position the container only by setting the container along the projection 25. At the same time, the positional shift of the container 21, 22 during the measurement can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To exclude the requirement for clamping a balance beam when sample holders are attached to and removed from the balance beam and to eliminate the problem area which has occurred by additionally providing a clamping mechanism in a thermal analysis apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A thermal analysis apparatus has sample holders 7 and 8 for mounting samples 9 and 10, sockets 6 in which the sample holders 7 and 8 are mounted so that the holders can be attached and removed and a balance beam 4 for supporting the sockets 6. Pins 28 are provided as a unitary body together with the sockets 6 and located on direction lines L1 and L2 for attaching and removing the sample holders 7 and 8. Pin stoppers 17 regulate the movement of the pins 28 which are arranged so that their positions are not moved into the attaching and removing directions of the sample holders 7 and 8. The pin stoppers 17 do not regulate the movements of the pins 28 during the measurement but regulate the movements of the pins 28 exceeding the allowed limit value.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a differential thermal analyzer which has excellent temperature response. CONSTITUTION: A differential thermal analyzer comprises a heat sink 8 for forming a sample chamber R, and a heat-sensitive plate 16 for placing a measuring sample 22 and a reference substance 23 and receiving the heat from the sink 8 to rise at its temperature. The analyzer measures the temperature- dependent properties of the measuring sample based on a temperature difference generated between the sample 22 and the substance 23. A mica sheet 10 having low thermal conductivity is provided between the sink 8 and the plate 16, a gas supply port for replacing the gas in the chamber R is provided at the heat sink wall 8a corresponding to the bottom wall of the chamber R, the plate 16 is bent, and one or a plurality of through holes are provided between the measuring sample placing part of the plate 16 and the reference substance placing part. Accordingly, even if the thermal capacity of the sink 8 is reduced, the temperature around the sample 22 can be stably held.

    • PURPOSE:To make a heat sensitive plate easily exchangeable and to improve the soaking property of the plate so as to make the plate to be hardly affected by a conviction by forming a sample housing space smaller by surrounding the space with a furnace body and by arranging samples on the upper end part of a sample holder. CONSTITUTION:A heater wire 38 is directly wound around the outer peripheral surface of an aluminum furnace body 36 and a sample housing space 40 is formed in the furnace body 36. The space 40 is surrounded by the side wall 42 and bottom 44 of the furnace body 36 and the lower surface of a lid 46. A sample holder 50 is passed through the central passage 48 of the furnace body 36 and a soaking cylinder 52 is put on the upper end of the holder 50. A thermocouple 54 is passed through the holder 50 and a pair of heat sensitive pates 56 and 58 are joined to the upper end of the thermocouple 54. A container 60 for sample to be measured and another container 62 for standard sample can be placed on the plates 56 and 58. The lower end of the holder 50 is constituted in a plug-in system so that the holder 50 can be connected to a balance device or temperature measuring instrument.

The carrying device 3 includes a holding mechanism having holding members 6s and 6s and a holding mechanism having holding members 6r and 6r.
