摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and lighting system with improved light utilizing efficiency, which shortens the spatial distance between a light source and a part to be irradiated, and eliminates an unevenness of illuminance. SOLUTION: The lighting system is composed of a lighting device 1, comprising a spherical mirror 3 formed by arranging a light reflection surface on the inner surface of a hemispherical surface, an arc lamp 2 of which, an approximate center of the gap between arc electrodes 6 is located at the center of the sphere of the spherical mirror 3, and a condenser 4 superposing and condensing the light generated by arc and reflected by the spherical mirror 3, and the light directly traveling from the arc; and a lens plate 12 having a plurality of elementary lenses 11 dividing a flux of light into a plurality of flux of lights, a convex lens 18 making the divided flux of lights superpose on an object to be lighted, and a set of cylindrical lens arrays 14, 17, perpendicular to each other, installed in order to form an image of arc formed by the lens plate 12 having a plurality of elementary lenses 11 on the object to be lighted together with the convex lens 18.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator which is capable of additionally improving the parallelism of luminous fluxes made incident on an integrator optical system without lowering the efficiency of light utilization and diminishing the size of the light source image formed on a second fly eye surface to a dotty light source form. SOLUTION: While the parallel light beams reflected by a parabolic mirror 4 are emitted through a window 13 consisting of a non-mirror finished surface of a front surface mirror, for example a plane mirror 12, toward the integrator optical system 5, the light which is emitted from a light source 3 and does not directly enter parabolic mirror 4 is reflected by a plane mirror 12 intersected orthogonally with the optical axis of the parallel light beams and is thereby returned and reflected again to the parabolic mirror 4, by which the parallel light beams are reflected again by the parabolic mirror 4 through the neighborhood of a focal position and are emitted as the parallel light beams. Almost all of the luminous fluxes of the light source light are thus efficiently utilized and the parallelism of the luminous fluxes emitted toward the integrator optical system 5 is improved as well.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator and a liquid crystal projector that the diameter of a projecting lens can be made small and the miniaturization is further attained in a condition where a spatial distance from a light source to a body to be projected is short while attaining the high efficiency of light utilization. SOLUTION: A reflection mirror in a light source device is a rotating ellipsoidal mirror 4, a light emitting source 3 is disposed in the vicinity of the first focal point F1 of the mirror 4 and the light is condensed on a second focal point F2, so that the utilization efficiency of the light emitted from the source 3 is enhanced, and an integrator optical system lens array 8 is disposed in a luminous flux converged toward the focal point F2. The respective luminous fluxes passing through the focal point F2 and diffusing again are condensed toward the center of a liquid crystal panel 1 by a condensing lens 6, so that the spreading of a secondary light source image forming a virtual light source for irradiating the panel 1 can be extremely made small, and the diameter of a projecting lens can be effectively made small in a condition where the spatial distance from the source 3 to the panel 1 is short.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection mirror, light source device, illumination device and liquid crystal projector capable of utilizing the entire luminous flux emitted from the light source to an object to be projected as efficiently as possible. SOLUTION: The reflection mirror 4 itself has not an ordinary paraboloid mirror having a completely round opening shape but a paraboloid 4b of revolution which is made common in a focus F and is made flat at a ratio corresponding to the aspect ratio of a liquid crystal panel having a rectangular shape in the shape of the opening 4a. The reflection mirror 4 has the light source 3 disposed in the position of the focus F, by which the light reflected and emitted by the reflection mirror 4 has a shape approximate to the shape of the liquid crystal panel 1, i.e., an angle of view and, therefore, the entire luminous flux of the light source may be utilized as efficiently as possible.

SOLUTION: A resin capsule 102 which contains a fragrant material 103 is fixed onto a base material 104 by a binder 105, and a fragrance generating heat-sensitive paper 101 under a rolled sheet form is formed by taking up the base material 104 into a tape-form. For this heat-sensitive paper 10, the resin capsules 102 containing, e.g. either one of five kinds of the fragrant materials 103, which become an original fragrance, are respectively coated in regions A1-A5, and by selecting either one of the regions A1-A5, or simultaneously selecting a plurality of the regions A1-A5, the fragrance can be emitted after being synthesized. Also, in regions B1-B8, the resin capsules 102 containing the fragrant material 103 wherein one fragrance solely becomes the fragrance of itself, are respectively coated, and when necessary, the resin capsules 102 in corresponding regions B1-B8 are heat-fused, or thermally broken, and a desired fragrance information can be output.
