    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability and preservability of a recorded image by a method wherein a thermosensitive color layer has a leuco dye and a developer developing color in heating the leuco dye as main constituents, on a substrate, and a specific carboxylic acid series compound is used as the developer. SOLUTION: A thermal recording material has a leuco dye using a leuco compound of a dye of triphenylmethane phthalide series, triarylmethane series, fluoran series, phenothiazine series, etc., on a substrate and a developer coloring the leuco dye in heating as main constituents. Then, a carboxylic acid series compound represented by the formula is used as the developer. Further, stearic acid being thermofusible substance, fatty acid of behenic acid, etc., fatty acid amide group of stearic acid amide, palmitic acid amide, etc., or the like are jointly used as a sensitivity improver, wherein, in the formula represents an integer of 0 to 3, m represents an integer of 0 to 2, and n represents an integer of 1 to 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance preservation stability and water resistance of a recorded image by using phenolic compound represented by a specific formula as developer. SOLUTION: A solution containing 20 pts.of 3-N,N-dibutylamino-6-methyl-7- anilinofluoran, 20 pts.of 10%-polyvinyl alcohol water solution and 60 pts.of water, B solution containing 20 pts.of phenolic compound represented by a formula (where R indicates aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may have substituent, and r indicates integer of 1 to 3), 20 pts.of 10%-polyvinyl alcohol water solution and 60 pts.of water, and C solution containing 20 pts.of silicon oxide and 80 pts.of water are prepared. 10 pts.of the A solution, 30 pts.of the B solution, 10 pts.of C solution and 10 pts.of zinc stearate dispersion liquid (30% of concentration) are mixed to form thermal color developing layer forming liquid. Woodfree paper is coated with 0.5g/m of dye adhering amount after drying to form a thermal color developing layer. Thus, the layer surface is rolled by a calender so that surface smoothness becomes 500 to 600sec to obtain the thermal recording material.
