    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the excellent quality, homogeneity and stability of an image over a long term by preventing the temperature rising of a developer carrier surface by providing a cooling means performing cooling by taking away frictional heat generated on the developer carrier surface at a developer eliminating means and a developer supplying means. SOLUTION: A toner supply roller 12 abuts on an upstream side in a rotating direction from the abutting part of the toner thinning blade 14 of a developing roller 11 by specified pressure, and is rotatably installed in the direction of an arrow (c), and has a function to cool the surface of the developer 11 and toner T. The toner supply roller 12 is constituted by forming a non-closed-cell foam elastic layer on the outer peripheral surface of a hollow cylindrical supporting member consisting of a porous member having communicative holes, and cooling air is supplied from both ends of the hollow part of the toner supply roller 12 by an air blowing fan. The cooling air supplied is discharged from an outer peripheral surface by passing through the communicative holes of the hollow cylindrical supporting member and the non-closed-cell foam elastic layer, and cools the toner T on the surface of the developing roller 11 and in the periphery of the toner supply roller 12.

SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a developing roller 1 carrying a two-component developer 4 via magnetic force and rotated and a developer storage section 2 having a rotary developer stirring member 10 stirring and conveying the developer 4 and toner 7. The developer stirring member 10 is constituted of a developer stirring section 3 rotated around a rotary shaft 23 serving as the rotation center to stir the developer 4, and the developer stirring section 3 is arranged so that a void where the developer 4 can freely pass is formed near the rotary shaft 23. The developer stirring section 3 finely disperses the supplied toner 7 into the developer 4 and fully stirs it while it is slowly conveyed to the feeding position to the developing roller 1, therefore a carrier and the toner 7 are easily friction-electrified, and the satisfactorily electrified toner 7 is fed to the developing roller 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the electrification property of a toner and to obtain enough fluidity even for repeated use by internally adding a light-transmitting resistance decreasing material having specified volume specific resistance to an insulating color toner containing a binder resin and a coloring agent. SOLUTION: A light-transmitting resistance decreasing material is internally added to an insulating color toner containing a binder resin such as a polyester resin and a coloring agent such as a disazo pigment. This resistance decreasing material has the volume specific resistance ρ2 which satisfies ρ1>ρ2, in which ρ1 is the specific resistance of the mixture component of only the binder resin and the coloring agent. As for the resistance decreasing material, a conductive fine powder such as zinc oxide or a conductive polymer with dispersion of the conductive fine powder or a composite material of these can be used. The volume specific resistance ρ1 of the mixture component of only the binder resin and the coloring agent is specified to 10 to 10 Ω.cm, while the volume specific resistance ρ2 of the resistance decreasing material is specified to Ω.cm. The resistance decreasing material is mixed in the mixture component to obtain 10 to 10 Ω.cm volume specific resistance of the toner produced.
