    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of elongating the life of an image carrier and also capable of enhancing picture image quality by supplying a lubricant to the image carrier forming a toner image. SOLUTION: When this image forming device previously sets the setting number of revolution (n) as the revolving speed of a photosensitive body which is needed before the surface friction factor of the photosensitive body is raised and performs image formation and the revolving speed of the body reaches the set number of revolution (n)+A (A is an integer), the device increase the transferring current of a transferring part by a prescribed quantity and rotates the body by a prescribed number of revolution without performing the image formation and it removes discharge product stuck on the surface of the body by raising temporally the friction factor of the surface of the body while increasing the recovered quantity of the lubricant of the surface of the body. When the discharge product is removed, the device returns the transferring current to a normal current value and after the friction factor of the surface of the body is made low by rotating the body by a prescribed number of revolution without performing the image formation to stick the lubricant on the surface of the body up to a suitable stuck quantity, the device performs normal image formation while applying the lubricant on the surface of the body (steps S101 to S107).
